who has replaced the seats, the engine, the chassis .... I have an old hammer that is so old it has had 3 new handles and two new heads!
Can a digital cable have different connectors?
Sure.
Should I upgrade my preamp/amp or my turntable?
I'd upgrade the TT and cartridge first. A good TT is always a component that adds to the audiophile experience. Pride of ownership. Plus, next to loudspeakers it will give you the biggest change.
Which PreAmp for Marantz PM KI Ruby
Any speaker recommendations that will share good chemistry with the rest of the gear (assuming i keep the electronics)?   Triangle Signature Thedas, maybe? Probably any of the next level bookshelf loudspeaker.
Shoot out Wilson vs. Focal
At that price range they better.
Honesty is the best policy...I think.

Which PreAmp for Marantz PM KI Ruby
Preamps are mostly for switching. ...and providing the amp the signal, level, and impedance they are looking for.
Diablo 300 vs Luxman 590AXii with Sopra 3
Two things. I would recommend having an integrated amp that allows future options and you'll still have a working system if your source player quits or you want something different. Digital is still moving at a fast pace, things could change. Just...
Bigger and Better: Integrated Amplifiers
The rule is that you cannot post unless you have owned the most recently posted integrated amplifier and upgraded to a different integrated amplifier.  I'm not allowed to post but it would be good to know what loudspeakers you are driving....
Practicality of reversing frequency response curve of phono cartridge / stylus
Sorry, I learned this decades ago. You can't make a piece of electronic gear do what it can't do. Frequency correction isn't going to make an 18 inch woofer into a tweeter if you get my drift. Same thing for a phono cartridge. There are electromec...
your first system-
My first jump up to hi-fi in the early 70s was when I sold my Bose 901s and bought a stacked pair of Infinity 1001As with a Harman Kardon Citation amp, using my Pioneer receiver as the pre-amp. 4 twelve inch woofers really got my ELP albums thumpi...
Which PreAmp for Marantz PM KI Ruby
Looking over your system you would not gain much from just adding a preamp to your chain. To upgrade from the Ruby, you would need to move to new separates and that will not be cheap. So that leaves your loudspeakers as the best route to improve y...
Cost-effective integrated
I haven't heard it (yet), but the Rogue Sphinx v.3, at $1500, has gotten excellent reviews.  I'm liking mine. I have it on most days.
Suggestions on who could update and or repair a 1975 Kenwood KR 2600 receiver...
It still works and my typing mistake it is the KR 3600  I'll restate my position given this new data, it's a 22-wpc 70s receiver. If it is working use it and enjoy it. It will cost a lot of money to have a technician go through it and even if i...
