MA-3 retail around $143,000 give or take $100
KLAudio is stopping production of their Ultrasonic record cleaner.
Saw the Kirmuss at Axpona looks nice but seems a bit of a pain to use. They say you have to wash the record like 4-5 times! That's seems excessive IMO
Your favorite Electrostatic, Panel spkr
Many moons ago I owned Eminent Technology speakers and really enjoyed them. The only problem was playing them with higher SPL’s they would “fart” when the Mylar would hit the magnets. The other electrostatic speaker I would love to own is the Sand...
Upgrade McCormack or...
Agree it's worth the $$ but only if you plan on keeping the modded amp for a long time. There's no question SMc does great work and the modded amp will sound better just ask yourself if you really are in love with it's current signature sound. IMH...
Carver 275 Crimson tube amp --- any feedback appreciated
Curious how in an all balanced system how the Carver 275 would work/sound if used XLR adaptors at the amp end? What are the downsides to this?
Carver, THE standard of excellence IMO
@clearthink I did a web search on fires from Carver amps and not a single thing  came up. Please site examples.
Herron VTPH-2A Phono Preamp....anyone familiar?
@uberwaltz again I'll ask why not just get the matching power supply for about 850? It will give you more detail, depth and bass definition. This only if you still find the PH10 still to your liking.
Best step-up between a Kondo M7 and a Lyra Skala
Just saw this post. I've been a huge fan of the Kondo KSL-SFz SUT until I heard the S.A. Labs SUT. This with the Kondo IO-M cartridge. Sold my Kondo SUT and have not looked back.
My Thoughts re: Dealers Posting on Audiogon
It would be nice to know what company you are talking about? PLEASE
Rare find Blowtorch Audio Preamp
Almost bought one a few years ago for 7k but after listening to it (in a friends system) did not impress, yes it was good but not great IMHO.
Pass Labs int 250
A friend had the int 250 with some British speakers, very uninvolving IMO. He thought so as well as he sold it after owning it for several months.
Merrill Audio ELEMENT 118 on Tour
@Viber7 just curious what ac cords did you use with the Element 118’s since they require a 220 plug at the amp end even though it’s a 120v design? We all know (don’t we) that power cords can make a BIG difference.BTW great write-up.
New Gold Note PH 10
You should try the external power supply for the PH10. It gives you more refinement, control and detail. Bass definition is much better but not saying it will give you more slam. IMHO I'm happy with the bass.
Recommendations for a Phono Preamp
Or a very versatile Gold Note PH-10
Where are Conicident Speaker Technology electronics made ?
Don't want this to turn into a bashing of Coincidence gear it is VERY good indeed BUT have had my own dealings with Mr Blume and will never again deal with the company, life is too short.
