A good 50-70 watts tube amplifier for $ 2000? (http://www.upscaleaudio.com/view_category.asp?cat=36) Check out the PrimaLuna Monoblocs(and their reviews) on this site. Kevin is a super guy to deal with too.
Musical Heaven, NOT Audio or Speaker heaven … One of the beauties of a wide dynamic range, high efficiency speaker system. Of course Dynaudio has been making excellent cone systems for a long time. Ever try an SET amp with them?
Phase Linear I've been a sound engineer for the past 30 years(a tech for years before that. I'm currently the sound tech for two local bands and my church. This gives me the opportunity to listen to live music(acoustic and amplified) at least twice a week(gene...
Phase Linear OH- If you are looking for an inexpensive, and high powered/decent sounding/VERY stable SS amp: Find a Hafler DH-500. 255 Watts into 8ohms, can drive a 2ohm load easily(you can practically arc weld with one). Do a search on them. I'm using a Hafle...

Kimber Kap installation Sorry: a correction- In a power supply: the red wire connects to the voltage(whether + OR -) and the black to ground. Further: In a speaker system crossover application- connect the red toward the "+" terminal on the drive unit.
Kimber Kap installation In a signal path application: the black lead is, "input", the red, "output." In a power supply: the red should be "+", the black, "ground." AuriCap, WonderCaps, etc are all coded alike. |
