bi amp imrpoving?
I've been multi-amping professional systems for over forty years, as a sound technician, but- thanks for the tutorial. I'm NOT referring to subwoofers, as the ones I've done for home audio are crossed as high as 325Hz(10th order Butterworth). The ...
bi amp imrpoving?
Most of the biamping that I've done, for myself and others, has been with planar mains(either Acoustat or Maggie), and transmission line woofers. To me; the greatest benefit to realize with biamping, is the cleaning up of the signal passed to the ...
bi amp imrpoving?
Keep in mind that it is not REALLY necessary to bypass, or delete, the existing crossovers in your speaker system, to experience most of the benefits of active biamping. Those are primarily gained though the elimination of highs and lows being fed...
bi amp imrpoving?
Active biamping is simple with as little a Dahlquist DQLP-1(still used by Marchisotto, to biamp the Alón Exotica Grand Reference system). I used (and modded in a number of ways) one over the course of almost 25 years, with a variety of systems, an...
Where to find Black Gate 1000uf 25V caps?
Michael Percy sold the NX 1000uF, 25V caps for $12.50, but- they are long gone. Like anything else that is highly desirable, and no longer in production; expect to pay a premium, if you can find them.
bi amp imrpoving?
Are you referring to passive or active biamping? With active systems(which I've been implemented, at home, since 1980), your amps are only required to process the bandwidth assigned them. This, for instance, relieves the mid/high freq amp of the b...
Speaker hiss
I'd bet that you are having to turn your volume up to play those sources, and are hearing, "tube rush." Try to find a pair of 12AX7A's that have been tested, and certified, "low noise- preamp grade."
Kenwood KR-9600: leaking maxi electrolytics
Check the physical size, and lead configuration of your caps, and see if the Cornell 64668s, on this page, will fit(click on, "miscellaneous" at the bottom of the page): (http://www.partsconnexion.com/t/catalog/CapacitorsElectrolytic.html) The sli...
Will there be any 'Arrow' mark in a Fuse holder?
Your semantic gymnastics are what's irrelevant. Like so many; you block out any truth that does not conform to YOUR definition, or understanding of an issue. Further: It's obvious you are VERY CHALLENGED in the comprehension department, or simply ...
Will there be any 'Arrow' mark in a Fuse holder?
Try a little education(though I doubt you're interested), and read the fourth section of this article(relating to harmonics): (http://www.arbiter.com/files/product-attachments/absolute_phase.pdf) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absolute_phase) (http...
Will there be any 'Arrow' mark in a Fuse holder?
The point of trying? If you haven't heard it, or tried it, YOU HAVE NO OPINION. It's amazing how so many, that know so little, find so much to type about. OH- and FYI, "absolute phase" is also a correct term: (http://www.omegamikro.com/Absolute_Ph...
Who made the tubes?
National bought tubes from many manufacturers. They could be Mullard, Brimar, or Ediswan. Click on, "images" here; (http://www.mullardtubes.com/Mullard-ECC82-12AU7-CV4003/?ID=0&ProductID=153) or, "more detailed photos" here: (http://www.tubeau...
