VPI Classic - Now you have one......
I've not had that or any other problem with my Classic. I love the table! Popping is not normal and that table should be replaced.

ActusreusRegarding mass of the arm, pulled it from somewhere on the 'gon; but can't find it now. Sent an email to VPI asking for correct arm mass; I'll post their answer as soon as I get it.

ActusreusI have the Glider high output S. While I love the sound, there may be a better matchup for the Classic; since I already had the Glider, I didn't do any research. I believe VPI recommends a Dynavector that they'll mount for you at a decent...

I own a Classic. Answer to 1st question is "yes". I would not buy anything smaller - length or width. I can't answer the 2nd question as I mounted a Benz Glider that I had on hand. You might want to call Galen Carol at Galen Carol Audio in San Ant...

Has anyone experimented with replacing either the feet and/or the clamp on the Classic? Mine arrived late today and I'm extremely pleased with it (using a Glider S Hi output), but wonder what inexpensive upgrades are available. The stock clamp is ...
Question regarding reputation of SOTA tables
Kirk overhauled my table back in 2005. It still has the original springs which probably need replacing. He recommends that I have my arm rewired, and have him upgrade my table to a series III Nova. That would be the most cost effective upgrade pat...
Question regarding reputation of SOTA tables
Arm is a Premier FT3 and cartridge is a Benz Glider. I plan to keep/use the Glider on the replacement table/arm. Budget for used table/arm is no more than $3000.
Question regarding reputation of SOTA tables
My Sapphire is in great shape, but it's an older series I. I have no stores in the area that have tables on hand (they will special order a table if I commit to purchasing it). I have no way of knowing how my Sapphire ranks in performance with oth...

Best way to save cd collection?
I've had an opportunity to talk with Walter at Underwood HiFi. Super nice gentleman who took the time to explain things in terms I could understand. I'll probably take his advice and get the modified ZP-90 and modified PS Audio DAC.
Best way to save cd collection?
Shadorne,Appears we have the same goals. I don't need capability for multiple rooms. I just want to rip & play my library of cds thru my high end system via a remote at my listening chair. After searching online, there seems to be no concensus...
