How do I stream radio to my system?
Rello -Not sure I understand - once I subscribe to Sirius, what receives the Sirius signal and streams the radio signal to my Airport Express? - my PC or my Touch? I'll give Sirius a call today and see what the cost is.
Does listening fatigue go away???
Chazro -There's probably more than one definition, but I define "listener fatigue" as simply any unpleasant listening experience that causes an audiophile to squirm in his/her listening chair. For me, it's exaggerated treble. I have two sets of re...
Wireless to my audio system ?
I'm tech-challenged but was able to set up a system that I'm extremely happy with. Bought an Apple Time Capsule with 1T of memory for storage/router on which I've saved my 700 cd library using iTunes in lossless format. TC streams music to a Zardo...
Reel to reel repair - is it worth it?
Thanks - I have it in a shop for repair now. Hoping it's something simple like a belt.
Using protective discs under brass footers
Audiotweak -Thanks. I acquired a number of discs when I purchased a couple sets of Audio Points a few years back. I'll go ahead and use them.

Mark,Steve's rack is assembled and in place. Awesome rack. Highly recommended. Bought 3" top shelf for TT and rest are 2". Can't wait to get my amp back from repair and on stand that I also purchased. Until then, all I can do is look at the system!
Converting cables to ICs
I have no experience working with wire and lack the know-how to convert these cables into something worthwhile. Think I'll sell the cables and buy some used ICs off the Gon. Thanks for the input.
Reel to reel repair - is it worth it?
I found a repair shop in St. Louis (5hr drive) where wife's family lives. I will drop off the player for repair the next trip down. Thanks for everyone's thoughts.
Reel to reel repair - is it worth it?
If I can keep the repair bill under $150, I'm going to do it. I understand that they're not without issues. Again, finding tapes that are in good condition is a challenge.

Magfan - I too owned a Teac 4010 in the late 70's until someone stole it out of my apartment along with Pioneer speakers and quadrophonic receiver. I know tapes degrade over time and can really gum up heads; but I'm going to get the player repaire...

Would appreciate your thoughts on a question I just posted to another thread re: my Audible Illusions pre. Is it better to actually replace component feet with threaded brass footers (in which case I have to go buy a 4th footer). Is simply resting...
Using protective discs under brass footers
Markpao -Bought a Steve Blinn 3 shelf rack with matching amp stand; all with 2" maple shelves, except for 3" top shelf for my VPI Classic. Hope to see it in a week or two. I'll be collecting pop cans along the highway for the next 5 years in order...
Replacing Audible Illusion Preamp Feet
Related question - is it better to replace each foot with a threaded footer or can I simply rest the components on unthreaded audio points or black diamond racing cones? If using threaded cones, I'll have to buy a fourth since I only have sets of 3.
Replacing Audible Illusion Preamp Feet
Thanks so much!

Markpao- Think you should have bought some addtl maple shelves to protect the maple shelves that are protecting your rack's shelving! Just joking. Wish I could afford your setup, but I could barely afford the new rack. I just took delivery of Bear...
