What is a sumo nine worth today?
There are six listed for sale on hifi-shark. Prices range from $550 (Audiogon) to $1200 (EBay). You can expect to get the minimum for it - but probably more if you can wait!
Great sounding/recorded albums
Kind OF Blue! The perennial favorite of audiophiles worldwide!
Its the recording stupid!!
Never! I put on an LP or CD and sit back and just listen and try not to analyze the sound quality! Focusing on that hampers the enjoyment! After all, the "perfect" recording does not exist - though some are closer than others! There is always a "b...

Any experience with The NSMT Model 25/Chorus Loudspeaker?
It also had a hefty magnet and a tight gap. Nothing beats a big motor for linearity!
Any experience with The NSMT Model 25/Chorus Loudspeaker?
The JBL 100 ran its 12 inch woofer full-range! No coil! That partly explains its lively sound! That particular woofer was quite linear past 1K. Though the crossover had other problems! But no coil let the amp have better damping control of the woo...

NSM out of NC is a new company to me! Why haven't I heard of them before? Maybe because I stopped reading Stereo Review long ago and missed that Julian Hirsch report on their Model 25!

Nothing new here! The DCM QED had a similar design and specs in 1976. And looked better with its square cross-section! Plus exemplary phase (time) response.
Interesting/unusual concert pairings.
December '69 at the Fillmore East, I saw the Flock and Lighthouse open for the Grateful Dead at the early show. The first two bands are long forgotten. The Dead went on and on and ...
What Unusual SET tubes you've tried & liked?
Another good tube for SE use is the 46. Don Garber of Fi made some amps using it (even though it is a tetrode).
What Unusual SET tubes you've tried & liked?
I have a Will Vincent SET 45. Real nice amp! But its 1.75 wpc limits its useability with most speakers. My Sanei 560A with 2A3's is a bit better (3.5 wpc). Last, I have a custom-built SE amp using the 6BG6 tetrode. 6 wpc, the pair of output tubes ...

+1 dweller! That was the first one that came to mind! I must be psychic!
A little History lesson on, "High- End" cables:
The Verion Triaxial IC's cost $30/meter in 1978. And were considered real "Hi-End" gear! I also had the Verion P SUT with its captive Triaxial output IC.
A little History lesson on, "High- End" cables:
@roxy54 : I too had Goldens IC's in '76. They were marketed by DiscWasher. And certainly looked and felt better than the $3 generic IC's! Later, in '78 I bought a full set of Verion Triaxial IC's. Designed by Mitchell Cotter - a friend of Saul Mar...
