Anyone remember the lateral tracking Bang and Olufsen record player from the 80’s?? @glupson: I'm scratching my head! I will try searching on eBay for replacement belts. That's probably the only things needed to get your TT working!
Nixie tube amplifier project - unfinished - help! I sent a message to you on Google Hangouts using your email address. I will try again! That way you can send me some pictures! I am always curious to see what someone's building!
Conrad JOHNSON Phono Preamps The PV-3 can be used as a phono stage alone by the tape-out jacks!
Conrad JOHNSON Phono Preamps I have a CJ PV-3 bought used. A bit long-in-the-tooth but still capable of excellent sound! It does have a line stage. But still a great find for a few hundred dollars!
Anyone remember the lateral tracking Bang and Olufsen record player from the 80’s?? I prefer using the Mitsubishi and Revox lateral- tracking TTs instead. They allow the use of mc cartridges. And are better built (direct-drive and more mass) machines!
Anyone remember the lateral tracking Bang and Olufsen record player from the 80’s?? I have two of the Beogram lateral-tracking TTs. One is in need of repair (Goodwill - $25) - the arm won't lower. The other, a model 8003, is in fine working condition. With these TTs you are limited to using the B&O mmc cartridges.
Vinyl / High qual analog tape / High-res digital -- One of these is not like the other +1 cd318! I always have a healthy suspicion of the conclusions of the "golden ears" crowd! After all, progress in anything advances fundamentally by objectivity!
Nixie tube amplifier project - unfinished - help! @atmasphere : You are correct! Its got to be some other tube type! I am curious and hope the OP will respond!
SMSL 98E killed my setup? What is a "Scarlet Solo"? A headphone amp? Does it have a volume control and a pair of RCA output jacks? If so, yes you can plug it into the SMSL.
SMSL 98E killed my setup? Plugging and unplugging live components into each other can cause damaging transients! Don't do it! Turn everything off before plugging/unplugging cables!
SMSL 98E killed my setup? You can connect a line-level component into the SMSL safely by having the volume pot turned off.
SMSL 98E killed my setup? The SMSL does NOT have a preamp stage. Just a passive volume pot and a pair of RCA jacks. So it is essentially a power amp! I recommend that you continue to use it with your speakers. Don't waste money on another power amp! If you get a new Atom (...
SMSL 98E killed my setup? The SMSL SA 98E is a small class-D stereo power amp with a stereo volume control. 65wpc/8ohms, 80wpc/6ohms. The OP can use it with a pair of speakers. He does not need another power amp! Cost: $114. Made in Ch*na - where else! It does come with an...
SMSL 98E killed my setup? You can connect a preamp into the aux input (or any high-level inputs) of an integrated amp. Just keep the volume control low so you don't overdrive the preamp section of the integrated amp.
SMSL 98E killed my setup? @jtcf : See my above post. |
