Duevel's "Venus "Speaker or Shaninian's "Obelisk". Which offers the best sound quality?
+1 For the Shahinian Obelisk's! I sat next to Richard Shahinian for hours as he demoed them using various classical LP's! I was impressed! He offered to sell me the demo pair for $450! Regretfully I passed it up!
LOOKING TO MAKE A TURNTABLE CHANGE, HOPEFULLY AN IMPROVEMENT
Get a Linn Sondek! It makes beautiful music! I'm onto my third one! Had two previously and missed the "musicality" of these venerable TT's! Matches well with my Rogers LS3/5a's!
Speakers for aging audiophiles - What's with today bass emphasis ?
I have a pair of Rogers LS3/5a's. They have a 6 db boost at 120 hz to aid in the subjective impression of deep bass. And it works!
How Long Should One Wait Before Switching When A/B ing
For a true test the output voltage of each device must be adjusted to be the same! Otherwise all bets are off!
Speaker cables
Disregard my above post. I forgot that the OP wanted info on bi-wired cable. Please remove this post and the one above it!

Mogami 2477 Blue Neglex coax will stand comparison with the multi-kilo buck cables!
Schitt turntable anyone?
It will have a challenge trying to equal or beat the Pioneer PLX1000 - the current under-$1K champion!
Tidal streaming and classical music
The programmers at Tidal are not classical music listeners and are unfamiliar with the genre's selections.
Value of burn/break in?
Tube equipment I like to turn on early in the day and shut off in the evening after listening is done. You may choose to do the same!
Value of burn/break in?
I leave my SS equipment on 24/7. I just think it sounds better than having to go through a daily off/on cycle!
Seeking informed advice on speaker acquisition (Vandersteen vs. OHM Walsh)
 Correction: "are all certainly comparable."
Does anyone have any experience of hybrid valve and solid state power amps?
+1 For NYAL Moscode 150! Designed by George Kaye. A four-tube front end driving a set of 4 MOSFETs per channel. Also available: the 300 and 600 (150 WPC and 300 WPC).

@ tomic601: The TW's, the Vandy 2's and the Ohm Sound Cylinders are all certainly compatible. Nice open sound, wide soundstage and very good bass! And an easy load for amplifiers! Tough to choose among the three - each has their fans!
Infinity F.E.T. preamp
I saw the FET preamp and Class D amp appear - and disappear years ago (1977?)! Poor marketing? I bought my first pair of Infinity speakers that year - Monitor 1A's.

+1 for Ohm Walsh's! I have a pair of the Sound Cylinders. They do sound amazing! 3-D imaging, performers right in the room! I own many speakers, the Walsh's might surpass them all!!
