Oppo 105 or DAC
Sell the ERC-2 and replace it with the Oppo 105. It will sound at least as good on CDs + it plays back many more formats (SACD, DVD-Audio, Bluray, etc., etc.) and it operates as a stand-alone DAC for use with your Mac. Net cost to you will be well...
advice pls - upgrading a rotel rsp1066 processor
Emotiva UMC-200. As long as you don't need legacy video inputs (component, composite) or analog audio inputs this would seem to be a wise choice. $599 with a 5-year warranty...-RW-
Sub recommendation for vienna acoustics bach grand
I would tend to agree with ZD542. The Bach Grands are 4 ohm nominal speakers, meaning they probably dip below 4 ohms in part of the audio band. Very few receivers are capable of properly driving a 4 ohm or less load.Buying a separate amp that is r...

Help my budding audiophile brother
The Peachtree iNova looks like a pretty sweet piece, has more than enough power (80 watts/ch.) to drive those KEFs to very satisfactory levels. I see that Peachtree has some re-furb units on sale for $1399. This looks like a good way to go...-RW-

Impressed by Pangea Audio AC-9SE
Wow, a thousand bucks for a power cable? Even $200 seems a bit much to me for simply bringing the AC from the wall outlet and into your amps. Sounds like you should be putting that Kimber up for sale and pocketing the difference...-RW-
