Glass Fiber AT&T ST or AES/EBU XLR ? I can't speak to the Theta but I can tell you that I went to 2 Aural Symphonics Optimism v2 cables between a 270SE and 27. The clock signal cable was a real improvement. The music signal, IMO, has become extremely clean and analytical. I would cal...
Does anyone do good protest music anymore? Some earlier Bruce Cockburn.
Wadi internal level adjustment According to my understanding the internal switches adjust the output voltage, the volume control adjusts resolution. If the volume control is at 100% you should have 100% resolution no matter what the output voltage.
Review: McCormack DNA-225 Platinum Edition Upgrades Amplifier 4yanx,I don't think I'll be going that FAR! Right now, the sonics are all I'm concerned about. I will say though, the standard face plate could definitely use a redesign. It's a bit dull and the logo is boring as well. But as long as the amp works...
Review: McCormack DNA-225 Platinum Edition Upgrades Amplifier Well 4yanx,I got the amp but unfortunately because of a backlog, I can't get it modded for 2 months. These mods must be VERY popular! I talked to Steve and got my name on the list though.

Anybody traded in Pass amps thru AV Logic? If you're talking about the one in Des Moines, IA; I've worked with them in the past with no problems. Haven't done the Pass thing though. They seem to be reputable folks if that's what you're concerned about.
strange sounds on rvg recordings/ or i'm crazy One the most famous for this, although not jazz, was Glenn Gould humming along with Bach. I like the live jazz Cds with the humming and grunting, bystanders gabbing, glasses and icecubes clinking along. Makes you feel like you're there. Wasn't one...
Speaker Wire for a non-anal listener About blind testing, has anyone read about the Pepsi vs. Coke test? When blind tested Pepsi always wins , that is, more people prefer the taste of Pepsi. When the brands are identified to the tester, Coke always wins. I don't know if this can be a...
Need help to find Solid State Amp for Dunlavy SCIV I agree with the post above about getting IVAs. I owned the original IVs and while they are good speakers, the IVAs are better in every way. Speaker Wire for a non-anal listener If you are truly "non-anal" then you shouldn't care what the cable "sounds" like. At least that's what my proctologist says!
Hearsay, Rumor, Myth or Fact? I have many Japanese CDs including Blue Note. CDs in Japan cost in the area of US$18-$25 each, so although you're paying a premium in US terms you're actually paying the standard Japanese price. I have, however, seen mini-LP japanese CDs selling f... |
