How international is your system?
Changed since my 10-22-04 post.Speakers, DAC, transport, amp, PLC: USA, all cables Canada.
Gabriel Gold IC's are they really this good?
Budburma,I would say that the cryoing I did made little or no difference. Again, I bought the cables as an experiment so I did the cryo thing. I checked with Steve to make sure that cryoing was OK from a damage stand point. He suggested that addit...
Power Conditioners Suited to Digital Front End
Question about the difference between the Jaco and Haley. Is there a sonic difference between the two or is the Jaco only larger with more outlets? Trying to figure out the price difference between the two.
Gabriel Gold IC's are they really this good?
Budburma,I actually broke mine in twice, originally when I purchased them and then after double cryoing by Cryogenics International. Also, my pair are balanced, don't know whether that has any bearing.
Gabriel Gold IC's are they really this good?
Jmcgrogan,My experience with the Gabriels is that they don't require the long break-in periods of some other ICs out there. Maybe 40 hours or even less compared to 100-200 hours that many other cables require. Perhaps other owners will post their ...
Anyone tried Acrolink power cables from Japan ?
In my system, I would characterize the Acrolink as "mellow and smooth". I'm using 2 Acrolink PCs with Oyaide terminations, one on my DAC and one on the transport. Both purchased from Audio Excellence AZ where they get a little extra attention.
Cleaning silver faceplates?

Which is the best version of Famous Blue Raincoat?
I don't know about the LP versions but I own a gold limited edition CD from Private Music that sounds great! They were available for a very short time. Not sure how easy they are to find but well worth hearing if you get the opportunity. Agree tha...
Jethro Tull Remasters - Better Sound?
I've got Japanese mini LP Benefit and Stand Up CDs. They may sound a little better than other versions but they're still muddy. I don't know how these albums were originally recorded but they NEVER sounded "great". I owned the LPs at one time, sam...
EAR Acute
I believe the Acute starts life as an Arcam. Most everything but the DAC chips and transport are done away with and replaced to become the Acute. So whatever the transport is in the Arcam is the one used in the EAR. At least this is what I have re...

Power Conditioners Suited to Digital Front End
One question about the Power Wing, do you have your amp plugged in?
Power Conditioners Suited to Digital Front End
I believe Alan will send a Power Wing for home audition.

Import CD Question
Ron, I know of no such site. If you could list some things you're interested in perhaps someone will post with opinions. One word of warning though, many titles exist in 3-4 releases so it's best to refer to album number as well as title.
