Speaker Spike Philosophy
@ jchiappinelli  - Lenehan Audio in QLD Australia sell the ML5 floorstanders exclusively with springs, which were developed to be as good as Townshend podiums. The first pair actually shipped with Townshend as the feet some years ago now.Mike Livi...

@linnvolk - that pressure inside the enclosure, with respects to the enclosure's mode/s will color the music. It is my best guess to explain the superior sound stage and clarity afforded by isolation, that while the enclosure is flexing, the cente...

Has anyone else considered that the area of the driver creating the sound pressure wave also meets with resistance from the air it's moving, both inside and outside of the enclosure (assuming it is used in such a fashion). Therefore it's not just t...

@pragmasi - the enclosure deforms with transient energies (ballooning inwardly and outwardly), and then (hopefully) returns to it's natural shape within milliseconds. Play some loud deep bass music and put the back of your hand gently moving it on...

Experiment question about sound treatment project
@hilde45 I purchased a large thick woolen rug from an estate sale.As I work in the Texan oilfields I often build racks using double uni-strut.This along with spring nuts and some L and T shaped plates bolted up nicely to make a frame which I drape...
Photos of my system
I have stand mounts also. Are you going to put any treatment on the front wall? I used a woolen rug and that really helped tame some reflections and helped with the imaging. What wood is that on your speakers? I like.
Audiophile system for Techno and Dance music
@ phusis I’ll be the first to admit, the list of devices you have posted URLs for, I have heard not one of them.I have been to quite a few events, and despite the fact I wasn’t under the influence of recreational pharmaceuticals, I had a great tim...
Audiophile system for Techno and Dance music
Massive SPL, huge volume cannot possibly compete against a highly resolving sytem, even for Techno or any other EDM music. I am not saying my 400 watts per channel doesn't perform, and cannot play loud. However I will state that low distortion, hi...
Audiophile system for Techno and Dance music
I listen to Trance, House and then back to orchestral on my system. The less distortion the happier I am to listen to it.I will undoubtedly end up with a swarm sub integrated into my system as well.Enjoy the mu51c

Shunyata, In-Akustic, ARTISTCLONER, Audioquest, Nordost to name a few are manufacturers of cable risers who have also embraced isolation techniques to their products.MC we discussed this in conversation, and off you went to investigate this yourse...

Isonoe footers have ball bearing feet, what keeps them from rolling off the platform?
Isonoe footers, I just had a look and it appears the bearings are sitting in a recess in the bottom of the isolater. That indent I would presume would limit the ability for them to roll very far. A photo of underneath should clarify the answer to ...
