Average Price Spent for Speakers
My situation is a little unique I suppose.I had a pair of $2500 Infinity speakers about ten years ago, when I happened to meet a really gifted speaker designer in Australia.A decade later, while working for Lenehan Audio I spent well over USD$5k o...
Isolation question. Monitor on Subwoofer
Slappy - I was working out in the field when I read this thread. On my 80 odd mile drive home I've been thinking of your question some more. I guess to answer it better, I'd need to ask you some pertinent questions. The answer that's going to yield...
Townshend Seismic Podiums
don't believe me? - put a heavy dumbbell on your acoustics - the sound will deteriorate - it will become jammed ... However, just like isolation produces a decolouration by helping to limit cabinet resonances, placing a tuned mass damper with abs...
Isolation question. Monitor on Subwoofer
Straddle with spring system under the subs. And spring directly atop the upright of the the straddle table/frame decoupling the stand mounts, would probably work very effectively. Of course working out effective spring rates for >3 hz isolation...

In regards to VD cables, Chlamydia Cables are the worst, seriously the very worst.

Townshend Maximum Supertweeters
I would like to understand more why they shouldn't be placed on the top of the speaker, or what the tradeoffs are by doing so? Townshend's video shows them placed on top and doesn't mention doing otherwise. Thanks For the exact same reasons iso...
Excellent Speakers for Classical Music - $2,000 USD Budget
I tend to agree, the best value you’re likely to find will be a pre-loved quality pair of speakers. You’ll get rungs up the ladder from new, and when you do have more budget, they will depreciate considerably less if you take good care of somethin...
