No love. Why? Some do it to be mean and some because they prefer a different sound. People have said terrible things about my speakers. Bottom line is your own ears. If you are happy try not to let other opinions bother you. It's important to develop thick skin...
TRANSPARENT CABLE VALUE It's about system synergy, that's why I suggest listening to several options within your price range. Transparent worked in your system, not the best fit in my system. No absolutes in audio!
TRANSPARENT CABLE VALUE Jafant,I own Wilson's and I had a home audition of Transparent Ultra speaker and interconnect cable. My wife and I didn't like the cable at all. We felt it had bloated bass and a rather closed in midrange in comparison to Clear Day Audio speaker c...
Wilson Sophia 1,2, or 3? Rlawry,I think you make my point with a 4K difference from 1's to 2's and from 2's to 3's, with an 8K difference from 1's to 3's. That's why I feel the 2's are the best value, but the 3's definitely sound better to my ears. It dependends on what i...
Wilson Sophia 1,2, or 3? I've owned Sophia 2's and 3's. Although I haven't heard the 1's,I submit the 3's are more dynamic and bigger sounding than the 2's; however the 2's maybe the best value based on price vs performance.
Any bad experience with wilson audio sasha w/p? Stanwal,I couldn't agree more with your comments about electronics. My Densen B-350s mono-amps were fantastic with Sophia 3s, but struggle a little with the Sasha's.Mechans,I think you would be surprised by how many own expensive speakers without ...
Any bad experience with wilson audio sasha w/p? I'll preface my statement with I've been a Wilson Audio fan since the release of the Wilson Sophia 2s. The Sasha's are the best speaker that I've ever owned. They are dynamic, smooth, and chameleon like. Sasha's have an ability to disappear and le...
Would you trust a local dealer to help you put I submit I couldn't have built my system on my own. I've had the same dealer for 20 years and have purchased 95% of my stereo from him. He is a friend and someone I trust. Over the years he has recommended products that he didn't carry, but had ac...
what do you think of transparent reference mm1 My advice is to try to get loaner cables and listen to it in your system. I had a home audition of Transparent Ultra Cables and it didn't sound good in my system. I don't think my amplifier works well with network based cables.
Sophia 1 with McIntosh/Lamm tubes? Please advise KeithrI'm not recommending Sasha's, I was pointing out that I owned many Wilson speakers and my best advise was to listen to as many products within his price range and let his ears decide. Listening is the only way to know if a combination works....
Sophia 1 with McIntosh/Lamm tubes? Please advise Lewinskih01,I've been enjoying this hobby for over 20 years and the best advice I can give you is to take advice/opinions with a very big grain of salt. I have owned many speakers, including Sophia 2s, 3s, and now Sasha's. The Sasha's are by far t...
Rega Apollo R Afranta,Honestly, I purchased the Apollo R because I had an Apollo and thought it was decent for the price. The Apollo was used with an Audio Research DAC 7. I sold both of them and now it's time to listen to something else. The guy I sold the DAC...
Can my classe ca-5200 power Revel Salon 2's? Although I've owned a couple older Classe amps(CAP151, DR25& CA-200), I can't tell you every speaker they mate well with. I found their sound relatively laid back and not as open as my current amp. Do amps make a difference? My experience tell...
Can my classe ca-5200 power Revel Salon 2's? The truth is in you ears! Unfortunately the only way to know if that combination will work is through listening.
Wilson Sasha or W/P match with Pass Labs I own Sasha's and drive them with Densen B-350s.http://www.ultrahighendreview.com/densen-b-350-monoblock-power-amplifier/, My room is 20'x 26'and I think they drive them fairly well. I listen to contemporary jazz and nothing with very deep bass, b... |
