Anyone use a hockey puck as a record weight?
I use a bowling ball, hole already drilled.
Sota Cosmos tonearm?
I use a V on mine and have tried others. I think this table will work well with just about anything. Id base my decision on my cartridge choice.
TUBES -- Telefunken OR Mazda 12AX7

SME 20/3 or Oracle Delphi VI or Garrard 301
If it were me Id be looking at a Cosmos IV. Ive heard it next to SME 30 same arm cart etc. and while I have great respect for SME Id still take the Cosmos (also much cheaper)
SME 20/3 or Oracle Delphi VI or Garrard 301
Just to stir the mix, my experience is almost opposite. Still preferring V over other stock arms and suspended tables (not linn) to the above non suspended ( have not tried most current versions) Too many variables from one listener to another to ...

A $300-$400 turntable tweak

MC loading at 47K
Thats it. I used Dale RN 65 resistors. Not too expensive and not noisy, used by some fancy pants designers. I like the one piece body Y adapter as it is a shorter path and makes for neater wire dress made by monster and others. Post your results I...
MC loading at 47K
Get a couple rca y adapters (2fmale to 1 male) and some cheap rca connectors from radio shack. Make yourself a few load plug ins by soldering resistors onto the connectors and the y adapter will put them in parallel with the input. This is a cheap...
