Mcintosh or Classe pops, i would agree with you that it is probably the power difference that you are hearing. i preferred the ca-200 over the mc 252 mcintosh amp but i also preferred the mc1000 over the 501's or the 602 with my totem mani's. the ma1000 sounded fant...
Aragon to Classe..... in mono mode, you would use only 1 input, and for the classe it is the left input on each amp.
Aragon to Classe..... this would be a huge upgrade. not sure on the power required for the vmps. if you run the amps in mono, you should have enough. my ca-200 amp goes from 200 watts in stereo to 700 watts in mono.
Mcintosh or Classe your ca-300 is 300 watts. if you meant 400 watts, classe has a ca-400 that is 400 watts. i use to own mcintosh gear and went all classe (ca-200,cp-60,cdp-10) and love them. i do agree with wireless200 that the older classe ca-200,ca-300, ca-400 mo...
Usher 718BE or Dynaudio S1.4 your quote: "As a side note I'm not real impressed with reviews, awards, and dealers' opinions who sell the speakers." what does that say about you to the rest of us? it is very hard/impossible to say that 1 is better than the other. all personal ...
Apple TV vs. Mini vs, Sonos drbe, i wouldn't call all jitter devices outside of the pace car mere toys. its cool if you like your pace car, but don't put everything else down. i could easily say the genesis digital lens blows away the pace car, but i won't. it's all a matter...
Apple TV vs. Mini vs, Sonos there are many: audio alchemy dti, monarchy audio dip, genesis digital lens, and others. then you go into a good external dac with either a digital coax or toslink cable (stay away from usb dacs) and you will be on your way to a nice sounding setup.
Apple TV vs. Mini vs, Sonos any of these devices will connect to an external dac but i wouldn't connect straight from any of these devices to an external dac without going thru a jitter reduction/eliminator device. apple tv gives you much more functionality than the squeezeb...
Good Amp with totem model 1s? i would recommend at least 150 or more watts with a very good amplifier (not 150 watts from a yamaha or sony receiver). i used more with excellent results.
Good Amp with totem model 1s? i have used the mcintosh mc201, dk design, and classe ca-200 with my totem model 1's and with my mani 2's. i currently use the classe equipment with my mani's. i had the odyssey mono blocks with the model 1's for quite some time but i liked the 3 ...
Single ended or change to Balanced ? i have found if all the pieces are truly balanced, then you will hear a difference. also, balanced is better for long runs but only if your components are truly balanced.
Next Upgrade to My Totem Arros Setup - Need Help the naim and rega sounded pretty dull to me compared to the cdp-10. i like a warm sound but with detail. i did listen to the simaudio eclipse when looking at the classe unit and i liked the classe better. i like simaudio equipment but prefer class...
Apple TV vs. Mini vs, Sonos all you have to do is hookup the airport express next to your second system, then from to imac, configure the airport express and name it "2nd system", or "rec room" or something unique. then when you want to play from itunes to this 2nd system, a...
Apple TV vs. Mini vs, Sonos i don't think so. the apple tv is not a computer (unless you hack it) and remote buddy has software that needs to run on a mac.why do you need another system? just have your 1500 cd's stored on your imac. you can distribute the music over many air...
Apple TV vs. Mini vs, Sonos get remote buddy for the touch from a company iospirit. it allows you to take control over the mac with itunes on it and you can use cover flow and turn on which speakers you want to listen to. |
