more like patting each others big phat speaker cables to feel good about themselves...but I am sure that people would be able to distinguish different speakers over $15,000 in a blind test - it's less clear that one is better or would be preferred

for the record, I have a Lafer chairI do not recommend it, as it breaks - I had the steel supports for the arm rest welded once and now the other arm rest is loose - maybe the shop that sold it was too stupid to have both fixed at the same time?

did you use the 3.6s in that room?cone drivers may be easier to 'fit' into the room but you will give up the sterling qualities of the MaggiesI have 1.5QRs and am having to make them work in an asymmetric room with large picture windows...

it is one thing to buy some cone based drivers and build an enclosure by copying the R&D of an established and eminent manf.it is something else to hire a bunch of engineers and acousticians, but them test gear, including laser interferometers...

yes, the OP has a point -- Some cables are ridiculously priced.it is easy to test too!
