Speakers "Disappearing"
@kosst_amojanThe two biggest factors in whether a speaker images well are how inert the cabinet is and the space around it. I’ve heard speakers from the "let the cabinet resonate" school do excellent disappearing acts.In fact I once had the Shun M...

I just noticed markalarsen mentioned he has the Perspectives, so maybe not a drive-by as I suggested.  I'm still interested in anything negative he has heard about the Pearls, as that was a most unusual comment.

Folks,I plan to put my Thiel 3.7s up for sale soon, and as I'm just starting to research pricing I wondered if I could get some feedback.  Mine are close to mint (had them refinished) in the Morado finish.  Any suggestions on a list price?I plan t...

I think markalarsen was a "drive by."  I doubt he will be back to support his comment.

audiotroy,Whereabouts do you like to crossover to the JL Subs when you use them (e.g. with the Personas)?

Yes Jafant, that has intrigued me as well.  We hear of very few Pearl owners (though there's a nice report in the links I gave from the VPI guy.

"I have yet to hear even faint praise for the Pearl 3. "Are you joking?  You must not be paying attention then. There is plenty of praise for the Pearl speakers, including the Pearl 3.  In fact I don't think I've ever read anything but a positive, ...

I just want to say that this is the type of thread were a dealer, like audiotroy, can really make a contribution.  I think his response was excellent, and if I myself were still interested in the Personas I'd really appreciate that input.
Still looking for speakers in the 10-20,000 range
Folks,Sneaking my own question in to this thread (as it's not worth it's own thread):I'm considering purchasing a pair of really nice Joseph Audio Perspective speakers that are in a high quality gloss white.  It would be something of a try them ou...
20 Year Old Amplifiers compared to 2017
tantra4 wrote (last year):I am still using a pair of CJ Premier 12 monoblock tube amps from about 20 years ago. They still sound glorious, warm and very engaging. I've thought about having CJ upgrade the caps. Any thoughts about this?   As a ...
How old are your speakers
I'm amazed and impressed to see many people here hanging on to speakers for so long.  I've had some speakers for a long time, but my "main" speakers have been a parade of different models over the last couple decades. My Thiel 3.7s and 2.7s are 5 t...

Help! Tweaking My Lovan Rack for new Big A**ed Transrotor Turntable!
Thank again.  Question though:I find the sound coming from this Transrotor/Micro Benz cartridge to be in most ways remarkable - dead silent background, utter clarity, smooth, punchy etc.  The ONE thing that has me hesitating to fall in love with i...
Help! Tweaking My Lovan Rack for new Big A**ed Transrotor Turntable!
Thanks folkfreak. It's hard not to be paranoid. Every time I hear something I may not like I'll be left wondering "is this how the turntable/cartridge sounds...or is this an artifact of the cartridge having been damaged subtly?"
