If you can only choose one of these Amps I've had a Classe CA 200 for about 6 maybe 7 years with no disire to move on, surround it with reference level components and cables and it gets better. The ca 200 doubles down to 400 at 4 ohms, I drive Thiel 3.6's to loud levels with no strain or...
Your ONE all time favorite love song? Hands down winner Craig - "Longer Than" by Dan Fogelberg, a close second is "Woman" by John Lennon. These songs guaranteed to get you out of any traps...
Bryston 4B gets HOT. Should I leave it on? Damn! I need to get more amps!
The Best Inexpensive Wines Available Now The Australian wines have always been good and have remained very resonably priced. There is a huge glut of juice right now especially in California so there are some good deals out there on occasion. Plus, spirits are growing again for the first ...
XLO, Cardas vs Tara Labs, MIT: which ones? I'm a believer of wiring everything with the same cable - especially an ultra-linear cable like MIT. I would stick with your 350's, get 350 reference, or EVO, or oracles to finish out your IC's and get the best MIT speaker cables you can afford. M...
CD/Transport W/ External DAC Yep, an upgrade in my transport made one of the biggest improvements of any upgrade I ever made.
Anyone heard the MIT Oracle-Z Cord III power cord? Actually Vader, the Z Cord II is a good cord IMO. I use one off and on with a classe amp and it is an improvement over stock. It also beat out BMI EEL and SRMC in my system. Relaxes the sound and improves imaging.
2 Classe ca 100's vs 1 Classe ca 200 ? I could be wrong but I think Classe put the CA series technology of UHC (ultra high current) in 200's and up. They also claim the difference in amperage from lower to higher also deals with higher quality parts. I know I've got 1 ca200 and have be...
Are you going to buy the Rolling Stones SACDs? Jsonic, you young whippersnaper! We agree on something - Neil Young has aged like a nice cabernet! And he can kick ass - your also right about Hendrix. How many tapes and different takes of songs can they dig up - literally!
Are you going to buy the Rolling Stones SACDs? Jsonic, sorry if I misinterpreted your take, I don't mean to sound aggressive in my reply - probably sounds that way because I'm becoming a relic myself - I say play and perform as long as you can. Classic music like the Stones work from the 60's ...
Are you going to buy the Rolling Stones SACDs? An endorsement by the masses certainly counts for something so from an economic standpoint it matters. In art and politics it's also very persuasive. People of all ages evidently want to see these bands. Your opinion is your own personal benchmark...
Are you going to buy the Rolling Stones SACDs? Unfortunate you guys don't get it - maybe all entertainers should retire at 49 - but where would that leave hollywood, oh yeah, and concert ticket sales? I'm thankful I grew up in the Stones' era because the real sack of crap is most of today's mu...
New Theil 2.4's any opinions I'll second that Hip Hip Hooray!!!
Used tube pre-amp around $1,000 Hi Fishwater, I have a pv 10 and bought a used premier 14 about 2 years ago. A really big jump - music is so much more natural, every area improves - bottom end, top end, detail, imaging. It is also more neutral/natural - not as euphoric as the PV...
I need a recording with a good drum solo . Genesis Live - Second Home by the Sea... |
