Audioquest Power Cords
I watched it means zip, you can hear it! It's not hard to either. I can disable the DBS on the speaker wires and interconnects and the sound goes from really good to poor, on the power cords I like it disabled because I get more body and warmth an...
Who is ditching their shiny disc spinners?
I still am buying CD's I don't follow trends, I've burned some discs to USB and played them back and the CD always sounded better, and I still like holding a disc. I have neither the time nor care to burning 1,300 CDs and god knows how many songs ...
ORANGE Fuse rejected
I don't have a sterile sound or a dull sound, of too much bass or highs, or unbalanced sound reproduction. My fuses are what can with the gear. Go figure.
Puritan PSM156
Balance conditioners have an impact on the sound and you will hear a difference but all I've to own is a stripping effect, clean yes, but a loss of body weight and tone. I owned a Furman 20i and loved the HC outlet section for front-end gear, but ...
Puritan PSM156
Heard this unit and it sounds like any other "Balanced Conditioner", clean sound, with loss of body and weight and naturalness. Yes, it did sound different but it ends there. I've owned many balanced conditioners for over 20 plus years and all hav...
Help selecting a power cord.
The newer AQ power cords are quite good. Blizzard is a good value and sonics for the money spent without going overboard. For front-end gear, a PS Audio P-12 regenerator would be a great addition to your system.
Marantz SA-10 arriving Monday!
SA-10 is a stellar multi-talent player. This replaced an Esoteric K-01 which was great, but I don't miss it at all. I enjoyed my time with it. The Marantz needs a top-grade power cord, I found the Audioquest Blizzard and Thunder to bring out all t...
A black hole went into my Marantz SA-10!
You only use disc dampers on top-loading CD players, Marantz, Esoteric, Luxman and the rest is a big no, no, your only asking for trouble. They are no designed for these types of players in fact they go way back, some who made these types made a n...
Technics SU-R1000 a new Class-D GaN Technology integrated
I own an A/B 105lb. amp. I love it, but I don’t have zip against class D newer technology. There are just too many good reviews now saying the sound quality is superb with the tone, color weight, and dynamics, and over-the-top musical. Class D is ...
So done with audiophile fuses
It's your money, spend as you wish, all I know in 3o years none of my gear as blown a fuse with using the fuse what came with it. So why these expensive fuses blows give me concern. I can say that on the DQ 10's then had a fuse, we took the fuse o...
Love for Spatial Audio Sapphire M5s
Great speakers, great designer, and fantastic sound while being fair price. I own the M3's. After break in and getting them set up right for my room, one of the finest speakers I owned, and I am a Quad lover.
Anyone else upset about new Audiogon policies?
Audiogon is a business, sure it not like it was 20 years ago where they were being ripped off by sellers, who sell, then be able to change the ad with another new product and sell it again for free, so new owners if I recall put safe guards into t...
Best Power Cable for Luxman D-08u SACD player.
JPA 1500 is a great power cord, not your usual stock good, this same cord power Luxman Class A power amps also. So it can pass some serious current. I found recently the Audioquest Blizzard working very well with front-end gear and the Marantz SA-...
The Spatial Audio M Series Sapphire Loudspeakers reviews ! Best Kept Secret
I own the M3 Sapphires and once broken in they sound great, but if you own a tube amp make sure you use the 4-ohm outs, as well as SS McIntosh with the Autotransformers. They go from very good to outstanding, the only thing to remember you will ha...
What amp to match with Spatial Audio M3 Sapphire open back speakers
I should have added if you have a tube amp or a McIntosh tube or solid-state amp the 2,4,8-ohm outputs, the 4-ohm outputs make the Sapphire M3's sing like no other. The 8-ohm tap sounds louder, but it throws off the wonderful balance tone of the s...
