Review: Tube Audio Design TAD-60 Tube amp The TAD-60 does look like a beautifully constructed amp. There are alot of folks on this thread that have excellent tastes. This review & thread has sparked my interest into purchasing one. I especially like the ability to switch between ultra...
Joan Baez - Do I just not get it? Wc65Mustang, exactly, I've been trying to save enough money to leave France but given the poor economy & lack of gainful employment it has been tough. Can't wait to return to the USA where inflation is low & jobs are plentiful. Good deal.
Joan Baez - Do I just not get it? I like her, no I don't like her, whats the point? Yes she made her debut during a time of political upheaval & the music held a great deal of meaning to a generation that time has past by. Now Joan will be judged on her merits as an artist, go...
Joan Baez - Do I just not get it? Jadem6, that is heavy but true. I especially agree with you that our Government is so concerned about what minority may be offended that the majority no longer have a voice.
Joan Baez - Do I just not get it? Gregm, I had no idea that Judas Priest did a version of this song, never heard that one but I bet it would be interesting to hear. Music is like stepping into a time machine, I don't think there is another media that can transport you so effective...
Joan Baez - Do I just not get it? The only song from Joan Baez I love is Diamonds & Rust. Purchased the Cd for just that song, don't care for the rest. Keep in mind these songs were recorded during a time period when the average gear was more bass heavy then it is today so it ...
I'm SHOCKED literally . Audiofire5228, yes it can destroy a delicate processor chip used for remote controlled functions. Best to use the remote if you have a static problem until the problem can be resolved. If not remote operated, probably can't hurt too much.
Why does my laptop annoy me less than my rig? Qualia8, I am using a B&K PT3 MKII about 2003 model. There are no mechanical knobs on this preamp. All settings including balance, bass, & treble can all be adjusted with the remote. Can't remember the reviewers name but he said that he had...
Why does my laptop annoy me less than my rig? Hi Qualia8, it is true that some folks are satisfied with a Bose system maybe because the importance of the ultimate two channel system don't appeal to them. Or in our way of thinking they just don't know what they are missing. True audiophiles ac...
Why does my laptop annoy me less than my rig? Qualia8, I hope you don't believe that by my above post I'm promoting a Bose radio, far from it, I was being a bit sarcastic. I've never owned a Bose product however I was more or less agreeing with you & understand the concept of your compari...
I'm SHOCKED literally . I agree with Stereo Spencer & Jond if it is static electricity. Thats exactly what I was doing, touching a metal object to disharge before touching the stereo until I could figure what was causing the static. Opalchip keep in mind that static ...
I'm SHOCKED literally . It has happened to me as well. It turned out to be static electricity & that some clothing I was wearing did not get a sheet of fabric softner when the clothes were dried, as silly as that sounds.
What does 'Fast mean? Boa2, that does sound fast. You got anything faster? In regards to this hobby I do, how about a vacuum cleaner set to maximum suction hooked up to your wallet. Now that is fast! If you hear a sucking sound, you know where I've been. If anybody fin...
What does 'Fast mean? Like my amp, my typing skills are fast but unlike my amp, I am not accurate. Rwwear, I agree more is better than less. Bbaxely2, it is understandable your girlfriend would prefer a slower hand, good sense of humor! In all seriousness an amp with se...
What does 'Fast mean? Isn't that why some amps weigh a great deal, it slows them down, not very fast at all. Or you hear a track on your favorite CD, it is so fast, your not sure you heard it. Personally I think the speed of an amp is dictated by the ability of the amp... |
