It was a luxury item back then as few could afford the cost of equipment, tapes, and maintenance. They were notoriously fickle machines, prone to issues best ...
3 speakers to consider. I am partial to Revel...they have an insane amount of R&D resources behind their products...and are engineered using state of the art testing facilities...less familiar with Dynaudio....even less with Montana...good luck!
Best imaging and sounding bookshelf speaker As a former SPica owner...I can also attest to their legendary imaging qualities...very 3D realism...however I found the tweeter too subdued for my taste...and the bass a bit shy as well...but I am nitpicking...its a unique speaker for sure...GMA ...
Polk Audio Anybody familiar with BB exclusive Polk T 15 mini monitor?...Can be had for 50-80 bucks fairly regularly...
Any polk fans? Correction- after listening to PF WUWHere...I have to concur with Stereophile...the imaging qualities of this speaker is rather special...the L-R panning on many tracks came across with precision, speed, and focus...polk has no snob appeal...and i...

Any polk fans? Haha...I tend to agree...Polks RT don't really excel at things audiophiles crave...transparency, speed, detail, etc...at their worst they can sound dark and boxy...at their best smooth and non-fatiguing...I found their imaging and soundstaging to b...
How to tell if EMIM or EmIT drivers are in trouble I'm thinking of replacing my Emit R tweets with another set...or a modern Morel mdt 29 for half the cost...and recommended at my reputable, regional speaker repair shop...any tt thoughts?

Back on Black: LED ZEP 1-3 If u were dissapointed with Mothership then I would probably pass on these Zep reissues...all others...enjoy the excess of riches....
Back on Black: LED ZEP 1-3 Obviously no substitute for good music...I will start with 1 and IV, as these are the most in need of sonic. Improvement...I don't have the famous RL of II...but my copy is quiet and acceptable...ditto for III...after that houses, PG, presence, et...
I have no idea what these speakers are worth Zero..........
Back on Black: LED ZEP 1-3 Same argument surfaced about AC/DC LP reissues years ago...whatever the verdict...I opted for a couple to complete my collection as clean, quiet originals are hard to locate...probably due the same with Zep. |
