Looking for speaker advice-$10-20k
I would check first the stable mates Paradigm Personas and then check for others.Possibility in matching is greater.G
Onkyo P-308 recapping/upgrading
If you do not want to change character replace only electrolytics, same values, same temperature as originals. If you want to take a further step get the service manual follow the signal path and replace with better components there.Maybe when you ...
Are "vintage" DAC's worthwhile, or is this a tech that does not age well
Apart from ageing parts i do not see any reason for not sounding excellent in redbook. I bet a SFD2 can show a clean pair of heels and then some to modern dacs. And yes there is a big difference between a 5k to a 0,5k value dac.G
Blown tube issue
Good comments from all the above. If failure was at same position, it could be random but also a cause for some concern. Also monitor the bias more frequently than Manley suggests to check that your amps can hold it there. Safer not to exceed the va...

Amperex "Bugle Boy" tube compatibility
Apart from rebranded Richardson's Sylvanias I have not come across fake ecc88 BB, what for?Same tube as Amperex ecc88 white, so plenty of them, used of course.G
How loud are you typically listening?
Warm up your ears, nicely put @mijostyn, 16kHz is the best scenario for younger ages.G
Now they're planning the crime of the century

Amperex "Bugle Boy" tube compatibility
The 6n11 has different heating current and is louder on HF than a ecc88. If you want to replace the tube in a 6n11 circuit, without dulling down the treble, then a probable is a 6n1p and not an ecc83.G
Should I list all my classical CDs?
Selling collections may prove not a good idea in the future. But if sold you will get some funds for more lp's.G
