@ieales    Your point?
American Made Audio Products
@darkj    Guess my point is, who cares where it’s made? Everything is from everywhere now a days :) A product should succeed or fail based on its merits, not because of where it’s made.

Does the metal, plastic and wood materials also have to come from the US in order for it to be Made In USA?
Damping Factor
Speaker designs changed when solid state amps became popular and power was no longer a big concern. Smaller enclosures, lower efficiency and much higher Xmax in the LF drivers. All of a sudden cones were moving a lot. Stopping them from moving was...
Let me end the Premp/Amplifier sound debate ...
If all amps at a certain level all sound the same, why does anyone bother auditioning them?
Your experience with these power cables?
Not bad!    You got close to 10 useful responses before the choir chimed in.
Is there a solid fuse-like item that I can use in place of a fuse, to bypass it?
Bad idea. The fuses are there to protect your equipment.  Get a decent fuse in there. Ignore the statements from the highly educated cakyol about fuses and certainly do not pay heed to his justification of hardwiring your amp to the circuit brea...

To Buy or to DIY, here is my question
DIY is a process. And the process is it’s own reward.    Since COVID hit, I’ve built several dozen pairs of speakers. DIY speakers are like potato chips. Once you start, it’s very difficult to stop after just one. Tuning a speaker will help teac...

@nicktheknife My approach is remarkably straight forward. I listen. If something bothers me with how it presents sonically, I work to lessen it. If I find something is missing, I work to bring it forward. Measurements can be of great help to fin...

@mijostyn    Trial and error baby. Trial and error. Last I checked, that is the very foundation of learning. Open minded and creative approach to problem solving. Very important personality trait which the bulk of those who have made relevant s...
