Make sure your arm is far enough to the right when resting, the arm rest can "nudge" the arm wand inwards when lowering it
tweaking cross over speaker
Installing larger gauge inductors will lower the DC resistance of them. Series resistance in the inductors are part of any serious crossovers design, so changing it is not recommended.Peter

Basie Jam - Farmers Market Barbecue - Count Basie and the Kansas City 7, all three on my "in heavy rotation" list. Also check out Ben Webster at the Renaissance. Peter
Scoutmaster Platter problem
Probably too much grease in the bearing, spin the platter by hand till it loosens up then attach belt and let it run for a while. The excess grease will work its way out. Remember to clean it up after it settles.
Why no remote controlled discrete resistor volume?
Hello FolksWe do put a remote controlled motor on the DACT used in our preamps, involves a few sprockets and a DC motor - it works well - and in my opinion there is no substitute for the DACT as far as sound quality is concerned.ThanksPeter

PS AUDIO P500 as a Turntable speed controller?
Hi Have used the P300 with great success for the VPI motors, so the P500 would certainly work as wellPeter
What MC for $1,000-$2,000?
Some say cartridges need "break in" time just like speakers, your first sentence states "new" so maybe that is an issue. Also maybe the Denon "likes" a different loading than your old cart, try different loadings that may sweeten things up a bit. ...
