concrete vs. wood listening room
I was simply offering the link as a different pespective. You have to take seriously the realities of your situation. I would take a recommendation from a person who really knows my speakers any day. Good luck,

I can't decide vr4jr's or Acoustic Zen Adagios?
obviously the further away from the back wall the better. In my room I can only have my JR's 12 inches from the back wall. Still sound pretty darn good.
Full range speakers with small footprint?

I have my Jr's in a 15 X 20 room. Works very well. Before these I had the VR-2's and they were outstanding. There is a bit more there with the JR's but perhaps you could start with the 2's and see how you like it. Maybe your dealer will let you tr...

Will computer to DAC replace transports and cdp's?
I use a Waveterminal U24 to take the USB signal from my computer and convert it to S/PDIF -- and then run coaxial out to my DAC. The U24 does not require its own power as it pull that from the USB cable: I am assuming this is a good thing?

Anyone near 48067 with a pair of Zu Druids? I would love to hear a pair sometime (email me). I do like my JR's very much but am always curious to hear new things. I know they offer an in home trial.....
McIntosh MS300
For less than the MAC stuff you can put together a music server comprised of a laptop, external hardrive, and one of the many components that can be used to connect computer to your hifi system. See themany threads on it here.
Wow CDs everywhere...What to do?
You have created in interesting and functional alternative to the hard-drive based music server.
