Does anyone know how to do a search for a component review on 6moons.com?
Best bet is to google search the component + sixmoons. Better yet, duck duck go.
Dunlavy SC IV Speaker- Any Good???
There are a pair of Dunlavy Audio SC VI for sale at Skyfiaudio in Ridgewood NJ. As per usual, they are asking 80% of retail for a pair of speakers that are 20+ yrs old. I guess it's a good thing they aren't asking more than they cost new. We've...
Von schweikert out of business since Albert's passing?
Another former owner here. I bought the VR4 Silvers after hearing them at Hi-Fi 96 in Manhattan and meeting Albert himself. Very nice guy and I enjoyed meeting him and hearing the speakers at the show. I placed an order for the VR4s and my pair sh...
K-horn won't fit, any other corner speakers recommended for a big room?
I agree with @mrdecibel  Tight in corners is no good for any heritage speaker except a khorn. Even the cornwalls can benefit from being a ft or so away from walls. My LaScalas are a couple of feet away from the corners (where the subs reside) and...
SPL Audio
The Phonos preamp has been on radar for some time. It looks like a really good product. Any feedback on that one would be great.
Your single most significant purchase mistake?
VAC PA 100/100. Sounded horrible. Took it over to a friend's house. Horrible there too. One week from opening the box to packing the box. Sonic Frontiers Power 2. Very sterile sounding with a midbass bump that was very annoying. Kept this one for...

Lumin D2 or U1 Mini
I went directly from the Node 2i to the U-1 mini. See my comments above in this thread.   Oz
Spatial M3 Sapphire or Klipsch Forte 4
While it doesn't go much deeper on paper, the LS II "appears" to have more bass than earlier versions. On about 80% of what I listen to, they are fine on their own. That said, I do have a pair of HSU ULS-15 II subs to augment them. My room is dedi...
Spatial M3 Sapphire or Klipsch Forte 4
@arafiq I had the CW IV for about a year and moved on to the LaScala II. But I stand by what I've said about this latest version of the Cornwalls. Really a great speaker and much improved over earlier versions. Highly recommended.
Denefrips Pontus "burn in" period?
The Node, while a good bargain for what it is, can certainly be bettered as a streamer. There's no doubt in my mind that the Pontus II is better than the internal DAC in the Node, but moving up the chain with a better streamer would get you better...
Audiogon is becoming the hub for scammers.
As has been said before, it's up to the buyer to do the due diligence. The OP has been here since 2009, I would hope he's privy to the "ins and outs" of this game by now. It does appear that he is MIA from this thread though.
Spatial M3 Sapphire or Klipsch Forte 4
Not quite the same comparison. But I went from a Spatial Audio X3 to a Cornwall IV and was much happier. The Spatial speakers efficiency rating can be a little optimistic.

Tube Amp settings: Triode vs UL; 8 ohm vs. 4 ohm ?
With the Fortes you will more than likely prefer the 8 ohm tap. Almost without fail, every switchable amp I have owned has sounded better in the UL or Pentode mode. Most manufacturers voice their amps in UL and add the triode setting as a marketi...
