Horns: Why don't they image well? Once again, as I sit here and bask in the glory of klipschorn, I just chuckle a little at the absurdity of this thread.Oz
Horns: Why don't they image well? , but..... Paul Klipsch didn't think so and created the center channel known as the Heresy. Klipscorns don't need a center channel in a room <21 ft. or so wide. PWK knew this too.Mine image as well as cones in boxes do. I don't need your valida...
Line Magnetic quality Mind me asking, why did you sell it? As much as I liked it, it wasn't a perfect match for my khorns. I ended up with a Decware Torii II which has a richer tone and not quite as forward. That said, the LM has balls for days and will easily wake up...
Line Magnetic quality I had a 518ia for about a year and a half, recently sold it. Build quality is excellent and so are the sonics. I wouldn't hesitate to own one again.Oz
Positioning the Forte III Loudspeaker They need to be further apart.Oz
Horns: Why don't they image well? I thought it was a nice improvement. And my AAs had been recapped, the volti was still better .If I'm not mistaken, if you change to the BMS driver, you can't use the klipsch xover.
Horns: Why don't they image well? I replaced the AA xovers with Volti Audio xovers and damped the mid horn with modeling clay.Oz
KLIPSCH Heritage speakers . I have owned cornwall IIs, cornscalas, forte IIIs, and now klipschorns. I guess you could say I like 'em too..........Oz
Horns: Why don't they image well? Your room is on the very edge of what i would consider large enough. My room is 15.5 x 26 and I have them on the short wall. Imaging is as good as speakers up to the 15k price point that have graced this room. Extremely happy!Oz
Serious Passive Preamp question If you happen to own a system that necessitates an active linestage, then no, a passive will not do the job. However, I make sure any system I put together does not need one. If a source component or amplifier doesn't make the grade, I won't cons...
klipsch speakers,be honest TatumKlipschorns = no subwoofer need apply. If you don't agree, you've either never heard them in the right room, or never heard them at all.My guess is the latter.Oz
Klipsch Forte III--Pleasantly Surprised Long time ago means they were NOT Forte IIIs. This is a very different speaker than what you remember. And klipschorns in the right room with the right amp are very different than what you remember.Oz
Klipsch Forte III--Pleasantly Surprised George, You mention Forte II, but in other posts you say you have heard the IIIs. Is this true?
Klipsch Forte III--Pleasantly Surprised I would say only if your klipschorns are farther than 20 or so ft apart.
Klipsch Forte III--Pleasantly Surprised The Forte III is an excellent speaker. I only moved on because of the mighty klipschorn. You might consider that route too.Oz |
