Any good CD for setting up/positoning a Subwoffer? Sphile Test CD #3 (or something simliar) and a Rat Shack SPL meter. This disc has tones from 200 hz to 20 hz in 10 second samples that are very good for setting xover and gain for subs.Oz
I have seen the Future and it is Kalaidasape >Of course, it starts at $22,000.<I don't think it will be in MY future.....Oz
Totem Arro vs. Rainmaker For the way you want to use the speakers, you might as well buy a cheap pair of Bose.Oz
Montana speakers, musical? Good Value???? It's a valid question IMHO. But I do think his tongue was planted firmly in his cheek when he asked it. Not out of line at all in my book.Oz
Montana speakers, musical? Good Value???? How in the hell can you call Peter an ass? Exactly what was it in his post that alerted you to this? Seems like your reading comprehension is on a par with your writing articulation.Oz
DK Design VS- Reference vs Signature >Signature exhibits the classic solid state glare that we all know and love(not easy to do though)<Yeah, that's a sound I reeeeaallly love. So much that I have had no desire to live with a SS amp for years now......Oz
Why not just unplug it? Nrchy,I will sell my copy of Amused To Death. Interested?Oz
Montana speakers, musical? Good Value???? I have owned two pairs of SP2s in the last three years (long story) and I can say they are highly musical speakers. Not the last word in resolution or bass extension, but you won't really be thinking about that. They just draw you into the music. ...
SUB TO MATCH WITH QUAD 22L'S I have to disagree. I just received a pair of Onix Rocket ULW-10s to pair with my upcoming Reimer McCullough GS speakers. From what I can tell so far, these little gems are tight, articulate and fast. I have good response at 25hZ and they have ble...
A brutal review of the Wilson Maxx I remember Widescreen Review's reference system having the Mirage M1si speakers back in the mid 90s.Oz
A brutal review of the Wilson Maxx I agree with Honest1. Did he even listen? Doesn't seem so. But after reading the whole diatribe I can't help but wonder just what kind of speaker he would deem acceptable. He rags on ported enclosures, d'appolito designs, Focal drivers, dual 8" pa...
Rega P25, would it sound better than my CDP? I don't think my comment was out of place. And I'm not saying Regas are pitch perfect, because they aren't.But even if the test you propose makes the Rega sound sluggish compared to the seedee, that is not what you said. You said >music will so...
Rega P25, would it sound better than my CDP? >With the Rega music will sound sluggish and percussion instruments will not sound crisp and fast.<Never in my life have I heard any Rega deck described as such. Years ago I had a P25 and that is not the way I heard it at all.Oz
Nuforce Always a lot of yaking about how they compare to dry SS amps. How do they compare to something that really makes music? A good tube amp.Oz |
