Apogee Scintilla Value?
Stay with the MLs.  The Apogees may be a better loudspeaker, but too many variables regarding age, condition, parts, service, amp compatibility and cables.  They aren't a good drop-in replacement for other loudspeakers.
Heat/Efficency of Speakers
Why don't you take a look at cooling vest/jackets.  They can be active or passive and are designed to keep your body core cooler than the surrounding environment.
Meridian DPS 7000 ? 5200? are these speakers actually worth having as a long term deal...
Aren't the Meridian's active loudspeakers with built-in D/A converters?  How would you run them with a Devailet?
Upgrade from Emotiva XPA1 to Bryston 28bsst2 or Pass X350.8
Without knowing the rest of your setup it's hard to say whether the amp changes is really a good value for your money.  Either amp may be better than the Emotiva, but possibly only a subtle upgrade within your system context.
Request advice-need "brighter" speakers than Totem Hawks
Don't use music to test whether your individual drivers are working properly, instead use commonly available test tones such as pink noise or low to high frequency sweeps.  It will allow you to more accurately pinpoint your results.

The loudspeakers have less than 100 hours on them. Thanks for finally providing that little piece of info.  Keep playing them until around 500 hours before making any equipment changes.  Play with loudspeaker and listener height plus toe-in until y...
Where is the significant point of diminishing returns on hi-end turntable?
It would help if the OP would identify his current TT and also describe why he is not satisfied with the Parasound phono preamp.
Where is the significant point of diminishing returns on hi-end turntable?
You'll never be satisfied.  The guy in the Memorex ad is an illusion.  There are better turntables, cartridges and phono stages then what is being recommended for you by the dealer.  If you know they exist, then you'll want to experience them.  Th...
I think I need more bass traps, where to place them??
From previous threads, your room is basically a small cube (10x9x10) which, to put it kindly, is a tough acoustic environment.  You should get professional help and guidance.  It will probably be more cost effective than hit or miss internet forum...
Why has amplifier power become a big issue
I think class D amps are modern marvel, but they don't truly solve the problem.  Feeding mega-watts into a moving coil loudspeaker will result in thermal compression unless you over build the loudspeaker which makes it too massive to properly resp...
Why has amplifier power become a big issue
Nothings has really changed.  Loudspeakers with a sensitivity  in the mid-80s will sound perfectly fine with 30-50wpc.  Of course these same loudspeakers will sound better with 150-200wpc when played at louder volume levels.  However, if your typi...
Dylan wins Nobel Prize in Literature
Marcel Proust, Vladimir Nabakov, James Joyce, John Updike, Primo Levi, Virginia Woolf and Leo Tolstoy all never won the Nobel.  I don't think it effected anybody's thinking about these writers.  The Nobel is a contest fundamentally no different th...
Dylan wins Nobel Prize in Literature
Congrats to Mr. Dylan!I really don't know whether he deserves it any more this year than someone else, but a group of people in Sweden have declared him worthy.  Frankly, they know more about modern literature than I do and I suspect they know mor...
Happiness achieved
I heard this on a TV show -- happiness is that moment just before you want more happiness.  Be afraid, be very afraid.
I need advice.
Don't do anything.  Keep it exactly like it is.  Recapping will increase the long term reliability, but it won't really better the sound quality.  If the Sansui is functioning properly, no buzzes, static etc., then why spend money on it.  Realisti...
