Safest way to trade ?
Rrog, who pays for the shipping and services done at Audio Research? I can see how that provides protection for the buyer, but for the seller it's an added burden. A typical seller, let's assume an honest one, is selling an item that he believes i...
Safest way to trade ?
There will always be some level of risk, but this is how I deal with it. If it's an amount of money I can deal with losing, then I'll take some risk. If it's what I consider a large amount of money, then I always do the transaction face to face af...
integrated for zu definition 3
I guess breathtakingly stunning is the step after?
integrated for zu definition 3
If you are already getting stunning sound, then how is it going to get better? What is better than stunning?
how to value Fisher preamp
Having the units updated will risk shipping damage back and forth to the servicer and can take from 3 to 9 months to complete. It probably will not increase the value to a collector. Practical users will not pay as much as collectors anyway. It is...

Agree with Elizabeth. You changed your mind after entering into a purchase agreement. If I were the seller I would be very wary that you were trying to run a scam. (Not that I think you are, but solely from the seller's perspective). You should ha...
the natural sound of a cymbal
I've read what you've wrote twice now and I'll agree with you that you can't tell the difference.
the natural sound of a cymbal
While I personally couldn't tell you about cymbals, I imagine that any number of drummers could identify different brands in much the same way pianist can tell whether it's a Steinway, Bosendorfer or Yamaha.Just because you can't doesn't mean othe...
Speakers sound best facing wall????
Just because something must be dealt with doesn't mean any particular solution is optimal. Some solutions could be even outright wrong.
Joseph Audio Pulsars
The Stereophile review points out that the "monitor" size Pulsars do not match the Wilson's sense of scale, but they are roughly as musically satisfying as the much larger and more expensive speaker. I don't think that's an unusual conclusion rega...
Magico, Aerial, Dali
Have you considered going with any of the higher sensitivity speakers? Your Bryston is a stout amp and I suspect would work well with any of the speakers you're considering, but conceptually there are limits to pairing low/mid sensitivity speakers...
