Similar sounding bands. Oasis doesn't really sound like the Beatles. They do sound a little like post-Beatles John Lennon or George Harrison. Few bands can ever live up to the hype and Oasis is no exception, but they put out some good music.
Quality issues with Tekton speakers.... Thanks for the pics. I'm not sure if it would bother me, but I can understand it being a problem for others. I guess you could ask to exchange of drivers.
Quality issues with Tekton speakers.... Could you provide pictures of the loudspeaker drivers showing the different hues? And to clarify, there are no issues about the drivers sounding different?
Quality issues with Tekton speakers.... The "mismatched" woofer colors have gone from slightly different to NOTICEABLY different. You ordered the loudspeakers without grills, the manufacturer gave you free grills (a $75 value), but you're still not happy.
Has Anyone Found Shunyata Cables Sounding Thin? Sabai, thank you for giving some info about your audio equipment. I find it interesting that you use an Atma-sphere amp in that its designer has frequently stated that properly designed balanced I/O should eliminate the differences in how cables s...
Has Anyone Found Shunyata Cables Sounding Thin? I'm not downplaying the benefits of having working ears. I am simply highlighting the primacy of the brain in experiencing music. A person can experience music whether the stimulus is aural, visual or conductive vibrations. The stimulus doesn't ev...

Why blind listening tests are flawed From your description it appears that you are listening to your equipment as opposed to listening to music via your equipment. Since no equipment is completely transparent and without fault, if you actively search out the shortcomings, you will he...
Law of Accelerating Returns Zd542, go listen to the lineup and then look at their pricelist. To me it's obvious, but as I said earlier, I could be wrong.
Distortion with ARC Ref 150 and Maggie 3.7 Almarg, we will have to disagree about how appropriate, or more importantly, how helpful someone's recent comments on this thread have been. So many people have offered advice and guidance trying to solve the OP's situation. I didn't see the point...
VAC amps and Focal Grand Utopias at $195k a pair Didn't Focal buy Naim?
Law of Accelerating Returns A "bargain" is more of an absolute description of worth as opposed to the relative term "a good value". A bargain also has a much wider time window than a good value. I agree the the Vandersteen 5a is a good value, but it is not as good a value as... |
