Hear my Cartridges....🎶
I have three well-sorted Deccas and enjoy them. Recently, I bought an Audio Technica 750 with Shibata tip as it was highly recommended and I needed something for a second table. It does have seemingly better depth and sometimes more air. However, ...
Whats on your turntable tonight?
@slaw Re First Aid Kit. Um...not sure they're your scene. Their best album is The Lion's Roar so you could start there. It sort of grows on you and their voices sound good. Second best is Drunken Trees. It's earlier and cute.

@halcro That’s disappointing. Are you certain it wasn’t a setup or record issue? I run all my Deccas on 2 lowly Jelco 850 12" and 9" (and a 12" 750 gimbal on another table) arms with knife-edge bearings (albeit good ones) and have no issues with m...
What is your favorite tube type?
Depends on where the tube sits. My favorite tube of all was a black plate CV5042 (of uncertain heritage) which is a military version of the 12BH7A but it was better than those. It had silent blacks and huge soundstage with exceptional detail in a ...

@frogman Ha! I actually edited my reply by adding in "slight" as I felt it was on the recording and not the fault of the cartridge.

When are you going to try the London Reference on the TT-101/FR?
Hear my Cartridges....🎶
Listened to them on my headphones. The 6 is in a different league. More snap, air, drums have a reverb against back wall, rim shots audible, clearer diction, more slight sibilance (not necessarily a good thing but at least you can hear it- trackin...
AC Dedicated Line
I tried 2 x 20amp 12ga lines once and got hum. I’ve been running 1 x 20amp 8ga line for years and it is super quiet and sounds great. (it did when I first implemented it so I guess it's still good.)Electrical inspector was bemused but said it was ...

FR-6SE sounds better on my half inch piezoelectric Optiplex micro PC speaker.
Buyer is claiming damage that was done by him!
Hopefully the buyer will see this thread and, if he did break the grills, know that he is both a liar and technically incompetent!
