My tube amp causes isolation transformer to buzz Oh, and a variac isn't an "isolation transformer," it's an autoformer where the pickup wiper is on the same coil.
My tube amp causes isolation transformer to buzz It's buzzing under the relatively heavy load as the coil is energized by the alternating current. You could try the ubiquitous red $110 20A 2000watt model.
Subwoofer location/facing question A sub loads the room. It doesn't or is not intended to be firing at you. Corner placement is the more efficient place to do this.

Agreed on the soft brush -you don’t want to damage the tieback cord or worse. No idea about the AT637 but can't imagine there'd b...
Would you donate a dollar to have these Members Review a Product? I’d prefer to hear their kit on a high-res video host using a solid, acknowledged recorder.
For the, "Vintage" Hi-Fi Addict: It's an AudioKarma wet dream!
Whats on your turntable tonight? Georgia Brown - Sings Kurt Weill (London 1962)Man, they just do not make them like this anymore. Startling clarity. A disgrace what they've done to recording. |
