They’re not electrolytic capacitors. Because it’s a balanced circuit the output is through two output capacitors. So there are two 1uF 400V Jensen’s on the positive/negative output. (These caps appear to have a history of failure in these amps.)Th...

Modified Croft 25R with bulk foil resistors and external tube rectifiers/regulated power supply and Decca Super Gold with Decapod and Paratrace stylus. Fast and dynamic with great timbre and color.

Ha! I haven't used a tone control since 1987. Never found a need to "color" the sound. Each to his own.

Acoustic foam on the wall can help.Avoid acoustic foam. It dulls and distorts the sound. Try Dow Corning 703 instead.

Musical Fidelity M6si cracks and pops and then nothing. What could it be?
Could be an electrolytic capacitor. Open and inspect. It could also be an issue with a power connector.
