| Preamps or source components I think you're asking if it's okay to use a power conditioner if the supply voltage from the mains goes over 120v. Sure. The pc has electronics to ensure a stable output voltage. Unless, of course, the pc only uses isolation transformers only. | |

| Tube preamp (EAR 868) plays music for 10 seconds after being powered off... Why? Preamp power supply capacitors provide enough power to run the unit for the 10 seconds. The power amp would do something like that but probably cuts output using relays at power down. | |
