| Why do preamplifiers have so many capacitors? Filtering and stabilizing power, DC blocking and coupling between amplification stages, frequency adjustment etc. Some may be paralleled so smaller caps fit in case. | |

| Which is better: Spendor BC1, SP1/2, or SP2/3. For your room, given you have SP3/5s, I think the SP2/3 would be a nice fit. I have SP2/2 and heard the 3 a few times to know they have better bass control and more detail. | |
