Blow dryer causes audible buzz from power amps in two audio systems...
The wiring in your house can be the culprit. Somewhere along the way some lines are shared which shouldn't be. In the meantime, may I suggest having your wife, it she's so inclined, go the Sinead O'conner route? 😄All the best,Nonoise
An Audiophile is Anyone Who Loves Audio Regardless of Monetary Status. Agree?
Agreed. It's your love of audio that brings you to this hobby, not your wallet. 👍The unfortunate downside is that you will get better sound with more monetary input but you can still stay within sane limits. All you have to do is ask any audiophile...
Spade vs bare wire
Never had an issue with the Furutech locking bananas that came standard with my speaker cables. Finger tight is the rule and the sound is wonderful. 👍All the best,Nonoise
Spade vs bare wire
Connectors always impart their own sonic signature. Having said that, I've tried bare wire, spade and banana connectors and each sounded good in the context of the system I had then. Once I accepted that connectors have their own sound, it's easy ...
Kinki Studio EX-M1
Hello Charan,I tried three different aftermarket fuses and ended up preferring the stock one that came with the Kinki. It's a non brand name, ceramic bodied fuse that gave me the best results, to my ears. All the best,Nonoise
Kinki Studio EX-M1
Hey Charan,It's great to hear of another who's found joy and pleasure in such a great sounding integrated. Sometimes it takes a bit of a leap of faith to go on a review from someone else but it's nice to have a friend who can share it with you, ma...
Who uses power conditioning?
Well, that didn't take long. That big step up again proved too much of a good thing. Lot's of attack and leading edge at the expense of body and weight. It's strange how going from 12' of PC (two 6' lengths with a power box in the middle) to a sin...

Who can dance?
It's out there. I could see where lots of the moves from those good old days are being used nowadays. The trouble is, it's lost in the new look. All the best,Nonoise
"Tip on jacket"
I found this: For folks unfamiliar with the term “Tip-On jackets”, these are jackets where the print is done on a separate sheet of text-stock paper, and then wrapped/glued to a thick corrugated core.In other words, it's not printed directly on th...

Who uses power conditioning?
Experimenting further, I moved the Blue Circle Thingee from the Cullen Cable power box (a square strip) directly to an unused outlet which is situated about 8' from the one that my integrated and SACD player occupy, but shares the same line. That ...
Who can dance?
That was a great pick-me-up, Frank. Thanks.I could just make out a couple of moves they made like the shuffle-ball-change, the slide and the heel step. When they say a person is light on their feet, that's what they're referring to.I knew he could...
Who can dance?
Now that's dancing. When young, I wished I could dance like Fred Astaire and as an early teen, took tap dancing lessons, but didn't have the flow and grace (more like a Clydesdale 🐎).I should have stuck with it as it's a wonderful form of exercise...
