Martin Logan Aerius with subwoofer ????? I have Aerius I, the "sub" tbone refers too rolls off at 40hz and is also DESIGNED to blend with the panel. Not exactly what I would call a sub by any means. Any way I have not been able to match a sub well with mine but I have not tried anything ...
feelings on Klipsch subs for audio systm I had a klipsch years ago, but it got old. Just was not that fast and could never get it to blend well. Do not remember what model, but I think it was around $700.00 Ended up moving to a Mirage bp 150 (2 x 8" with 150 watt amp) for $750.00 which b...
Top Ten Speaker Cables of all time?... Megasam, 10k is insane but have you compared 10k cables to 1k cables? This doesn't count if the 1k set was yours because you will automatically want to pick them, and in your mind they will sound better.
Why Is Krell Not Considered Hifi? I have only heard Krell at a local dealer that uses Monster cable so I do not think that really counts as fair listening session, it still did not sound bad. I just can not imagine that equipment that looks to be very of good build quality and des...
MIT and tubes yep, heard they started using them. Must be something to the "network" thing afterall. Still trying to get up with a fellow audio club member that has MIT, I think shotgun or something like that, for a taste test.I hear if the cable is just right ...

NAD dvd-the new one vs Pionner Elite 37 unless you spend allot more than 1k i doubt you will be able to beat your Krell with a combo dvd/cd player. I just tried to do the same thing and I was only trying to outclass a Cal. Audio Ikon MKII. I tried Pioneer DV-05 and Sony 7700, ended up b...
What's most important? 11x9x7? I would stick to monitor sized speakers, better to roll off the bottom then have too much for the room.
MIT and tubes Carl, not to nit-pick but after some more research of both sites, I notice that Transparent has links for awards and studios that use Transparent ref. No such luck for MIT.
MIT and tubes You aint kiddin, I allready have Transparent "super" and they basically offer a trade up program so you don't lose that initial investment once it is made so if I do go any further I will probrably stick with them.It might be overkill to go with b...
MIT and tubes Hey Phill, what about Transparent, and please do not tear me a new one. I am fairly new to this.
MIT and tubes From what I have been told, even by my dealer, you shouldn't go for the ref. stuff unless you have nothing but ref. equipment thru the whole system. Especially the source or it will show the weakness of anything there. He wouldn't even let me upgr...
MIT and tubes Carl, I use Transparent, which I have never had a chance to compare with the MIT, I am assuming that since Transparent was started by some of the guys from MIT that they are close in character. Have you been able to compare models from the same pr...
The BEST system you've ever built !!!! Craig, I am building a house now, and will hopefully move around jan-feb.Allready plan for a couple of dedicated lines. The new room is 15'x17' with cathedral ceilings and I am crossing my fingers that it will sound good because it is the only roo...
