Headroom MAX / Sennheiser 600, what CD?
Sorry Njonker, didn't pay enough attention to the last bit of your post. I thought you where looking for a portable. I have a headroom supreme with Grado 330's? I think, any way hook the stuff up with the best cable you can. It makes a huge differ...
Headroom MAX / Sennheiser 600, what CD?
Try to find one that has a line out, like for the crappy sounding tape/cd converters you see for cars. The amp will sound way better not having to go through the headphone output from the player.
Thoughts on PAD cables with Krell
Haven't heard Transparent with Krell, but I like them with my system.(Proceed,CJ,ML) If you buy into the "Premium" line of cable they offer a pretty good upgrade path so you don't loose your initial investment if you choose to move upwards.
SACD WINS!
Joe, Have you taken any of the current players home? The s9000es is only 1500 retail and is built like a tank.
SACD Players
I agree with Rcprince, Sony is lowering the price and adding DVD to help force the format to the masses. They, and Phillips, stand to make a lot more money if this format wins the war. I have the 9000es and think it was a great deal.
Rega Planet vs Cal Audio Labs Icon MK II
I have enjoyed my Cal Ikon II for 4 years now. Dekay is right, 750.00 is a bit much on the used market, and the player is smooth and laid back as far as digital goes. Naimboy, try having somebody hit the cymbal while you stand a good distance from...

Conrad Johnson CJ26 Sonograph Pre Amp??
Hey, sugerbrie, I thought I was the only one. Mine would change volume,or selector half the time with remote for cd player or tv. Sometimes this happened at the same time so as it switched to an unused input, the volume would jack up. This caused ...
Conrad Johnson CJ26 Sonograph Pre Amp??
I had the sc26. If you can live without a remote the pv10a IMHO sounds a lot sweeter and costs about the same new. If I remember correctly I think stereophile has reviewed both the sa-250 and sc26 together within the last year. Good luck.
Why Is Krell the a bad work???
sorry rosey, 12:30 a.m. New Years eve. gets easy to mix things up. Any way this aint no freakin English class. I do not care if you like Krell or not I don't even own any of it, but everybody has an opinion. Just cause you do not like it does not ...
Why Is Krell the a bad work???
Rosey, You most likely haven't heard Krell either. Good thing I don't have your taste. Do you often critic other systems without hearing them, or do you just buy them?
Why Is Krell the a bad work???
I don't own Krell but I have wondered the same thing. I have heard several demos that sounded fine, not horrific as some say. But this is just my opinion, the same people might think my system sounds like crap.
Anyone ever opened MIT cables?
I am having a house built as we speek. Unfortunately I do not have the kind of cash it takes to have dedicated room so the gear will have to go in the living room which is 17'x15'4" with cathedral ceilings. There is also a 6'bar opening to the kit...
Anyone ever opened MIT cables?
Carl, I think you may be reading a lot into my post, by no means was I takeing a crack at your cables. If you re-read my post you will see I stated that I COULD borrow cables from my local dealer, but would not since I do not intend on buying them...
HiFi is an opinion - nothing more
Larry, your hand is not the same thing as a p***y but it sure sounds like that aint bothering you.
