He's made a custom automotive piece for me where no one else could and as an added bonus, he was the machinist that Andy Payor of Rockpor...

Do you use an autoformer/transformer preamp/volume control? Been using a Sonic Euphoria autoformer preamp for the last 8 or so years with excellent results although I did have compatibility issues with my EAR 834p phono preamp but other than that, have no urge to upgrade.

A/B comparison McIntosh MC275 MK IV vs. MC275 MK VI Being a long time owner of a MC275 mk V, I can say that high end fuses do make a difference but one needs to upgrade all 5 and not just the Line fuse although just upgrading this fuse will yield benefits. Inside the chassis on the main PCB are 4 f...
Phono cartridge advice While I agree with the AT150MLX recommendation in that its tracking ability is superb, one needs a tonearm that can accommodate very fine adjustments in all parameters to get the best from its MicroLine stylus.Having lived with a AT150ANV fitted w...
Whats playing on your system today? Oleschool is correct. After Stone Fury failed to attract much attention on the charts after two albums, Lenny Wolf switched record labels and formed Kingdom Come which as you may know hit it big time.If you come across "Burns like a Star", grab it...
On Rel subs: Which are most musical? The REL ST series of subs that use the AB class amps are the ones to seek out IMHO. Try a Stadium lll with the amp/crossover removed from the enclosure and use the exact same speaker cable as the main speakers use and be prepared for an absolute r...
Whats playing on your system today? I've decided it's going to be 80's metal night. Starting off with Motley Crue, "Dr. Feel-good" and then on to Stone Fury "Burns like a Star". Trivia for those that are interested, what popular 90's band came from the short lived Stone Fury?

Wall Receptacle Oyaide R0, Furutech GTX-G and SR Black UEF Hi macdude,"I would also place the PP-1 on isolation feet or an isolation stand if you haven't already done so. My most remarkable service experience ever. I’ll cast my vote for PS Audio as well. Great customer service when I was troubleshooting a Power Plant P600. There have also been a few company owners/engineers that have grown into friendly personal relationships, those being Nola speakers and S...
Music you HATE the most but once you LOVED it Used to be a huge KISS fan but now I'm down to listening to Dressed to Kill about twice a year and maybe Rock and Roll Over every other year. Used to be a Ted Nugent fan but good god I can't stand anything from him, can barely tolerate Great White... |
