Modestly priced bookshelf speakers for cabin. Yes, my daughter and her husband have been in the cabin for a few months. Love them both and we like to hang out a lot. But, they aren't music lovers and I'll be real happy when their house is done. About another month or so.mrdecibel you did reco...
Tower vs Similar Bookshelf? Good points. The little Bose that I have a front ported. One of the Klipsch bookshelves I've looked at have a front port. The tower cited above has a front port. The Polk Audio tower has a bottom omnidirectional port so any of those would do.Howeve...
Modestly priced bookshelf speakers for cabin. Well, I’ve definitely got the bug. Putting together something nicer at the cabin on a small budget has its appeal. However, I’m here at the cabin right now and to be honest these little Bose speakers don’t sound all that bad when positioned proper...
Tower vs Similar Bookshelf? More searching and these two are available locally: Klipsch Synergy F-2 Black tower speakers $200 local pick up.Polk Audio T90e Euro floor standing towers $200 local pick up.Both sets look to be in good shape. Close by. Both look like low end spea...
Tower vs Similar Bookshelf? I did a zip code eBay search just for 'stereo speakers'. Got 23 hits. All but two were Bose speakers. Not just from one place. Weird.
Modestly priced bookshelf speakers for cabin. The Toshiba is how I got into hi-fi. It was starting to get static and noise when changing volume etc and I was ready to toss it.I knew my brother-in-law had a system in his (dark, dank) basement that he'd gotten from a cousin. I borrowed it from ...
Tower vs Similar Bookshelf? Well, when you mentioned "Rosanne Rosannadanna" I knew exactly what you meant and I would have sworn that was the character that did that skit. I didn't realize it was "Emily Litella" until I looked up the video. Gosh, Gilda was a funny woman. The...
Christmas Ideas - DIY something! My home is awash in books. Not enough shelves. Had been planning on building shelves on one end of our TV (and now music too) room before I got my hi-fi system. So now I’ll build the shelves on either side and a center area for my components. Will ...
I like my system flat, no tone controls, no eq..........what is your preference, and why. I think someone may have linked to this video somewhere above but I didn't see it. Nothing much said about the Loki that hasn't been said here but towards the end it does show the frequency curves for each of the dials.https://youtu.be/i6oyxHGJbsM
Tower vs Similar Bookshelf? You might mean Emily Litella:https://youtu.be/fZLeaSWY37I
Tower vs Similar Bookshelf? Oh, useful info....these will be driven with an old Toshiba receiver that only puts out 25 wpc. For now anyway.
Tower vs Similar Bookshelf? djones, that’s my fault. This is sort of a duplicate thread. I mentioned my budget in the other thread. I’m looking for something in the $350 range but we all know how that goes. Max would be $500. The ones you mention would be great but I'd end u...
Modestly priced bookshelf speakers for cabin. Thanks mrdecibel. I tried this briefly with a B&W sub that I had but it was just a muddy rumble. But now I'm pretty sure I did something wrong. Gave the B&W back to its owner. builder3, good info. I asked this same question in another thre...
Tower vs Similar Bookshelf? Thank you. That makes sense. I was looking for bookshelf to keep the cost down but in truth, for this application, a tower would be easier to position. So with that and the advantage of better bass the $100 might be worth it. |
