I assume you are currently running the 805s bi-wired.  Have you tried using jumpers and running single-wired?  For some reason, my speakers sound MUCH better single-wired, fwiw. I think it has to do with how well the internal wiring of the speaker...

What speaker cables are you using?
Dealers hijacking the discussions
Lol, what more bothers me is the execrable lack of correct grammar/punctuation in many posts from certain very opinionated and frequent posters.  I'm not sure if they are dealers or not, but it seems like it.  It makes me tired trying to decipher ...
Can cables of any cost and quality provide bass response missing in my B&W speakers?
How do the surrounds look on the other speaker?  I'd be concerned that if I put money into repairing the surrounds on one speaker, I'd soon be facing the same problem on the other speaker.   How would the cost of refurbishing both speakers compare...
Bi Wire vs Speaker Jumpers
My Legacy Audio Signature II speakers seem to sound MUCH better single-wired than bi-wired(Krell power amp).  Unfortunately, I only found that out after running them bi-wired for decades because I just ASSUMED they would sound better that way.  I ...
Simple copper speaker terminal jumpers? Lost my originals.
@nonoise Thanks, well, once I have the jumpers in place, it will be easy enough to try it both ways!  It just seems to me that it would be better to connect the speaker cables directly to the HF terminals with respect to the delicacy of HF signals.
Simple copper speaker terminal jumpers? Lost my originals.
@nonoise Thanks, those look like some more affordable options!  Considering that the jumpers will be used to jump to the LF terminals and my objective is for bass quality, I wonder if stranded, or solid core, wire would be better to use as jumpers?
Simple copper speaker terminal jumpers? Lost my originals.
@ waterzlifeThanks.  Actually I ran these speakers bi-wired for years, but when I bought some new cables that were not bi-wire type, I found that the sound, including bass, was far superior.  The sound is so much better that I regret having bi-wir...
Simple copper speaker terminal jumpers? Lost my originals.
Thanks, all.  I'm going to call Legacy Audio and see if they have any jumpers that will fit the posts on my speakers. The only reason I'm concerned about my current jumpers is that, as I said above, the binding posts are too large diameter for the ...
Simple copper speaker terminal jumpers? Lost my originals.
@ lprules1962Thanks, I've been looking at that linked page several times today. I didn't see any adjustable ones there but will check that out.
Simple copper speaker terminal jumpers? Lost my originals.
Thanks, but did you read my post?  I mentioned those Cardas jumpers, but the question is, can they be adjusted to the actual distance between the speaker terminals?
Can cables of any cost and quality provide bass response missing in my B&W speakers?
@ compass_roseIn light of comments here, I guess I should clarify that my recommendation of the GE cables was not mean to claim or imply that they would somehow magically transform your speakers into bass dynamos.  It's just that you specifically ...
Can cables of any cost and quality provide bass response missing in my B&W speakers?
Yeah, it looks like it will cost a couple hundred more $ to buy a 8 foot set direct from Cerious.  But at least you can get your money back if they're not worth it to you, and you will never know unless you try them.
Can cables of any cost and quality provide bass response missing in my B&W speakers?
Of course, this is completely anecdotal, but the deepest and most prodigious bass I have been able to get out of my speakers has been with Cerious Technology Graphene Extreme speaker cables.  I was not expecting or prepared for how much difference...
