Please note - IMO at the end of my post. YMMV. XRCD is comparable with any CDP. SACD is a dieing breed......only my opinion. If I want Hi-resolution format......there is always that old, beat up Lp that when setup correctly - will sound a lot bett...
JVC XRCD versus SACD
I agree with AFeil - it takes highly resolving system to fully appreciate what this format has to offer.Pricey but IMO - worth it.

Help me in the right direction, new speakers
The most important question is:What is your choice for amplification and how flexible are you when it comes to speakers setup? (distance from the walls etc.) It would also help if you could share with us the examples of speakers that really impres...
Time to change. But to what?
See......my point exactly.A1-However, if you have the skills - buying the best steak and grilling it yourself is just another option.:)I can share with you my recipe but why??? Mariusz
Time to change. But to what?
Yeap, it is hard to go back to the Hot Dog stand while Peter Luger steak aftertaste, stimulate your brain and never leaves for good.Unfortunatly, we all have exquisite taste with hot dog budget.:)Mariusz

fuses - the $39 ones or the 85 cent ones
Yeap, same signal was send to both that made the evaluation that much easier. A/B-ing left speaker to right speaker show no difference......to my ear. But, it was a while ago and it could prove its qualities on more resolving system though.I am no...
Promitheus Ref TVC and RWA Sig 30.2 Power Amp
Go with integrated first. If you need more gain (volume) buy "Goldenjack" attenuators ($50 direct). If you need more inputs get TVC.....it is great for the money(read on).I see that you posted this question all over the place.....that is all good ...

Modded gear on the used market.
I have said that before:Mod only the gear that you absolutly love to begin with.I rather modify an already good design with cheap parts then poor design with premium parts. You won't get your money back......so make sure that's what you want to do....
fuses - the $39 ones or the 85 cent ones
Tried that with my older ML (replaced the stock with premium fuse in only one speaker). Same signal was fed to both speakers.Sorry, heard no difference. YMMV.Mariusz
