One Amp To ‘Rule’ Them All.... Whether the application be for live, in the studio, or in the home listening, we, the audio community, would never agree on a single one anyway. As listeners, we are all different, and we all want what we like. And what each of us likes, is not un...

Do preamps have a material affect on high level sources? I have had the opposite experience as initforthemusic. I hear more emotion, more soul, more dimensionality, more involvement, of my music. Do preamps have a material affect on high level sources? kalali, you really are a very sensitive person. You comment on so many issues and so many remarks made by posters, and you seem to take things quite personally. Did you have a poor childhood ? Just sayin'. Looking for more transparency. A year ago, to achieve greater transparency in my main system, I rid myself of two top preamps ( both imo, superior to your PV11 in transparency ) and went passive. I am only saying this because it has worked for me. There are debates, considerati...
Amps from the 1980's -- What gear holds up sonically? Reliably? SQ=Sound Quality
Amps from the 1980's -- What gear holds up sonically? Reliably? HEA=High End Audio. I have had so much gear in my lifetime. What is interesting was / is the transition of the " hard wired " power cords on most of this vintage equipment, to the now widely use of IEC inlets. One of the many tweaks I did on all o...
