Nice Tube Preamp for Boulder 1060 HessecThis might not be what you would like to hear but anyway this is my advise. Dump the speakers. In the town where I live there used to be a high end audio shop and sometimes they gave a small show. So at one of those shows they had Magico V3,...
Ayre AX-7e to switch to Naim Supernait I have had a Ayre ax7 for week. I didn't like it at all and neither did my girlfriend. So IMHO any Naim amp would be an improvement. But I think the supernait is overpriced but if you want in integrated amp with a DAC ut might be for you. However ...
Oh how I wish Class D amps ... People please stop using the phrase digital amplifier. There is NOTHING digital about class D.

phono amp or not. I don't think I'll change my turntable now. I know the VPI arms are not the best. But for now it will have to do. Even a "simple" SME 309 is more expensive then what what I would get for my Scout if I were to sell it.However has anyone compared a ...
phono amp or not. Before I "dump"my turntable I think a phono pre would be a better choise. I doubt if I can hear an improvement with my current in build phono amp.So buying an other turntable would not be the best option I think. I had my eyes on a pair of totem m...

Phono Input or new Phono preamp? I would advise you to stay away from MC carts. Your phono amp was made for MM or MI carts. So before you buy anything take a look at Grado, Clearaudio and Soundsmith MM/MI carts. To me HOMC carts don't make any sense.
Maple platform under turntable, How thick? In my limited experience. Maple or Bamboo make realy nice platforms. Only reason I haven't made any platforms my self is due to the cost. Wood is realy expensive.
Neat Ultimatum MFS vs Totem Mani 2 I'm not sure if they Neat speakers are being sold in the US.
Tonearm choices Don't forget to take a Dynavector tonearm into consideration.
Neat Ultimatum MFS vs Totem Mani 2 Thank you for your replay Jaybo. Do you have any additional info on the Neat. I have found very little info on this speaker. Can you tell me how low it will go. All info would be welcome.
Meridian 508.24 or CEC TL15XR ??? HELP I am biased but I think the CEC would be a great choise. Also I would be hesitant to buy a 7 year old CD player I would first check to see if the tranport and laser are still available. Some CD lasers can last for decades some fail within 10 years.
Martin Logans I have heard the Martin Logan in an all Jadis set and that sounded very good to me. I don't think the Martin Logan speakers with an active sub need a lot of power. I don't know about the other models. |
