Looking for a tube preamp that has xlr outputs. If you’re worried about truly balanced that’s one thing. If you just want to hook it up get a single ended to xlr plug. I have some nice Cardas ones if interested.
Integrated tube amp as amp only Just gonna order another 2 sets to get the Jolida operational and move it down the road.
Free Tip for Jumpers Why not move the inside speaker leads inside the speaker and combine lower with the upper and eliminate the jumpers all together? That’s what I did on my last speakers.
Integrated tube amp as amp only Didn’t work. Didn’t blow up either so that’s good. Must need the preamp tubes installed either way for sound to come out. Anyway now got the tube preamp hooked up to a benchmark AHB2. Sounds really damn good so far.
Non-fatiguing speakers in $10K range? You think a 2 way speaker with a 6-7 inch woofer/mid is gonna be good for rock or metal? Maybe at 75db but not much more than that and sound full and impactful.
Non-fatiguing speakers in $10K range? Not my experience iwith Dynaudio at all. Focus was pretty good with rock/metal. The new Contours are not good with that music IMO.
Integrated tube amp as amp only Nice 👍. Thank you sir.
Non-fatiguing speakers in $10K range? I mentioned before but I’ll say it again. If you can find a Paradigm Founder dealer you really need to hear the 120H. Retail 9k, I got mine used in perfect condition for well under half price. They would pair very well with the class A Accuphase I...
Deal Alert Assuming that’s for the 1R not the Triton Reference which costs 12,5k. Got on the web site and didn’t see it.
Buchardt A10 Review in Hi-Fi+ Magazine 15 lbs each . Didn’t read that right? So light.
New expensive power cord for amp and no change in sound? I have 2 highly regarded power cords right now. They are both around 10ish years old. New equivalent models would be in the 4K range. Cord one causes a loud hum hooked up to tube integrated. Cord 2 everything is dead quiet. Neither made noise on a...
Non-fatiguing speakers in $10K range? Past 2 weeks I’ve been rocking Paradigm Founder 120H. Bought them used for well under half price. Perfect condition. I vote them best rock speakers I’ve ever had. Warm but detailed mids, non piercing highs, Killer articulate bass. Everything sound...
Cornwall IV vs. Volti Rival, Razz; Razz v. 1, 2, 3 -- what changed? @hilde45 , I found another pair of speakers I like slightly better. At least I think I do. I still think the Cornwalls are very good speakers. I wasn’t looking for speakers just kinda popped up.
Cornwall IV vs. Volti Rival, Razz; Razz v. 1, 2, 3 -- what changed? I had a pair of Chorus 2 for a minute. It was great speaker with the right kind of music but needed eq for sure! I’ve had CW4 for about 5 months, currently for sale. Not that I didn’t like them just found something that suited me better. The CW4s ...
My new B Stock speakers Revels I’ve heard in the past have done nothing wrong but were sterile and not real engaging. Maybe these are different. |
