Peter...what ever happened to the unit you ordered from China(?) and they sent you a CD player instead.Did you ever pursue that unit further?  I was really interested in that unit and was hoping you had some experience with it.

I bought mine the day it came out.  I've had many, many DACs through here and absolutely LOVE this little guy!Throws a huge, wide, deep soundstage and is very dynamic.  IMHO, it leans a notch or two to the warm side of the fence, (which I prefer).... 
What gain should I have?
The 41.5db setting should be fine.  The AT150 has a pretty decent output.If you have too much gain, you increase noise and the chance of overloading.

My favorite copy is the ORG 2LP, 45RPM version.  Simply stunning!  Probably kinda expensive now though.
