Martin Logan CLS "Buyer's Guide" Question If you happen to stumble on a pair in the Northeastern PA region (keeping in mind I was ready to drive 9 hours each way for this pair), let me know. Will do. I am always running into a pair somewhere. I'll let you know.

Is there any reason or need to de-stat phono cartridges? I've heard many people claim that just breaking and making a connection a few times, (like with interconnect cable and speaker cable) will make it sound better.Could be because it's "wiping" the connector on the cable and on the piece of gear and ...
Is there any reason or need to de-stat phono cartridges? maybe the right VTA can heal the sick and raise the dead. VTA an SRA are vitally important to proper cartridge setup and sound.
Martin Logan CLS "Buyer's Guide" Question I think you're probably better off waiting also. The right pair will come around. The last couple pair of IIZ's that I've seen were around $1200-$1500 dollars in excellent condition. You're quite welcome and if you have any other questions or ne...

Martin Logan CLS "Buyer's Guide" Question I was a Martin Logan dealer for many years and currently use a pair of CLSIIA’s as one of my reference speakers. When I was a dealer, I always had a pair of the older model on demo when the new model came out. I was able to A/B them side by side.Th...
How many grams weight for mm cartridge? I doubt that it still has the original stylus on it. I bet it’s been replaced. I would try 1.4 grams. That’s a good compromise. If you don’t mind spending $50, order a stylus from Ed Saunders. I’m using one on my V15 Type III and it’s stellar. If ...
coupon code? Never heard of that before? Keep us posted if you find out.
How many grams weight for mm cartridge? Would be nice to know the exact Shure model you have. Most of the V15 type series, (II, III or IV) track best around 1.25 and some of the replacement styli for these track best at 1.50 grams. If it happens to be a V15 VxMR, then 1.7 would be just a...
